Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas / April 2024

Lisa and I are bringing you our holiday cards for April so we can stay ahead of the Christmas rush this year .. Each month on the 25th, we have new inspiration for everyone. I also try to start addressing my envelopes, placing address labels etc .. Have you started on your holiday cards yet ???

My card  was made with the DEC 25 Bird by Stampendous . I bought this stamp with a few other Stampendous holiday images last year and forgot I had them .. Sound familiar ?!?!

  • I stamped most of the Dec 25 Bird image on white cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento ink . The sentiment was stamped with Catherine Pooler Skylight ink .
  • The image was colored with my COPICS.
  • I used a Clear Wink of Stella marker to highlight the 25, hat and red breast.
  • The completed stamped image was trimmed with the Tim Holtz Tonic Deckle Torn Edge Trimmer.
  • Rhinestones were placed on the hat pom-pom and the bird's eye.
  • I adhered the panel to a black card base.

You can see what Lisa made over at her blog -

We will see you next month .

Technique Junkies Stamp Release / April 2024

So excited that today we are bringing you the latest release from Technique Junkies . There are 13 new stamps/stamp sets for you to create with .  Releases will now be every 45 days  and for this one, you will get 15% off all the new images through April 25th . As always, there is a special price if you just have to  have them all !!

I had lots of fun with this release and it was a difficult decision to decide which images to use first . But I finally settled on these 2 - Advice From a Wildflower and Wild Poppies . I had the idea in my head to stamp on vellum and luckily, it translated well to paper !!

  • I stamped the Advice From a Wildflower image on a piece of vellum with StazOn Forest Green ink .
  • I cut it with a Stitched Square die .
  • The Wild Poppies image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock .
  • I colored the poppies with my COPICS .
  • The completed stamped panel was adhered to a red card base.
  • I placed clear fairy dots at the corners of the stamped vellum.
  • I used Tombow MONO Aqua Liquid Glue to adhere the vellum to the stamped image .  I placed the glue exactly where the fairy dots were so you couldn't see it .

I really love how this card turned out . Do you do much stamping on vellum ?? I will have to try it more often !! There are 11 additional images available with this Technique Junkies release and these links below will show you more creations from my fellow Design Team members .

Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas / March 2024

Spring is in the air and the Crafty Elves are back with their March cards. We create holiday cards every month and post them on the 25th - giving you some inspiration to start on your  own stash . This month, Michael  Trent is back for a visit . He joined us as a Crafty Elf in January 2020 but recently stepped away . Luckily for us though, he's back as our Guest Elf for March.

For my card this month, I used a sweet set from Art Impressions - Sledding Window Set . These stamps can also be used with their Shadowbox Window Die  I have many of their Window stamps and absolutely love them !! Several of these sets now also come with a matching accent stamp/die.

  • I stamped the window & snowman images on white cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento ink .
  • The window image was die cut with a Stitched Square die and the snowman was cut with the matching die that came with the stamp set .
  • I colored the images with COPICS.
  • I cut a piece of Sizzix "Winter Greetings" paper and adhered it to a Kraft card base.
  • The completed window was adhered to the patterned paper with foam tabs.
  • I used 2 foam tabs to adhere the Sledding Snowman to the window for some extra dimension .

I hope you will take a look at the cards from Lisa and Michael .

Thanks to Michael for joining us this month . It's just like old times !! I hope you are having some Spring temperatures where you are and if not, stay warm, grab a cup of coffee and do some stamping  !!   We will be back next month with more inspiration. I'd love to know if you've started your holiday stash yet .. Until next time.

Coffee & Cards with Deb & Celeste / March 2024

For our post this month, Celeste and I are going with a Green theme ! Very appropriate for St. Patrick's Day today AND to link up to the latest Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge , whose theme this month is also GREEN.

My first card today is an idea that I immediately thought of when we decided to do a Green theme for March .  I used a $1 Clearance stamp from Impression Obsession  - Lillian . AND I got to use one of my favorite cereals in my photo !!

  • The Lillian images ( girl and sentiment ) were stamped on a piece of white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink .
  • It was cut with a square decorative die .
  • I colored the image with my COPICS and then added some clear glitter to the wings.
  • Green rhinestones were placed  above the sentiment .
  • A piece of floral patterned paper was adhered to an ombre' green card base.
  • The completed stamped panel was adhered to the  patterned paper with foam tabs.

My second card was made with the Warm Winter Wishes stamp & die set  from Brutus Monroe . I'm linking it up to the latest Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge. Follow that link for all the details .  It's a fun monthly challenge that will inspire you with holiday ideas  to help you build your stash .  There is always one randomly chosen winner each month to win a prize.

#caffeinatedchristmascardchallenge  #cccc27

  • I adhered a piece of blue/green plaid patterned paper to a white card base.
  • The cup image was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on white cardstock and the sentiment on a piece of red cardstock .
  • The images were cut with their matching dies .
  • I colored the cup/hands image with my COPICS and then adhered it to the plaid paper with foam tabs.
  • The sentiment was placed on the bottom right corner of the card .

I'm drinking a yummy Cafe' Bustelo "Cafe' Con Leche" in a fun Calamity Mug that my friend Nola gave me .. The K-cup already has sweetener and milk added and it is just perfect - like dessert in a cup !!

Be sure to check out Celeste's project for March over at Crafting Junky . Thank you for stopping by .. I'm wishing you all the luck of the Irish today and all year long with one of my favorite Irish sayings -

Baking With Love

Today I'm here  with a fun card using the Inside Out : No Good Advice stamp set from the March Release. It includes 5 snarky sentiment duos that just crack me up !! I chose to  use the baking combo because it brought back lots of sweet memories of being in the kitchen with my mom as a child .. We made hundreds of dozens of chocolate chip cookies over the years - she always called them "Toll House" . And if you knew my mom, you know that she never ever met a recipe that she actually followed word for word . She always added something extra or changed it just a little - she called it "doctoring it up".. I think she would have absolutely loved this card that I made ..

And the fun part of this card is that I cut out an extra oven door and adhered it to the oven so it opens .. AND that is where I put the snarky "inside" saying !! Isn't that the cutest ?!?!?

  • I stamped the "outside" saying with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a piece of patterned paper with a cute kitchen scene.
  • I cut the oven door out of another piece of paper leaving some excess below the door.
  • The stamped panel was adhered to a kraft card base.
  • The "inside" sentiment was stamped with Teal Zeal Memento ink on a scrap piece of the same patterned paper and then trimmed.
  • I adhered that sentiment on the oven door on my card base
  • I folded the bottom  edge of the oven door paper and adhered it to the front of my card right over the original oven door .
  • I placed a piece of removable double-sided tape at the top of the oven door so it could be opened and closed .
  • Red rhinestones were placed along the pattern at the top of the card .

Thanks for stopping by to see my card !! It honors my mom who I lost 30 years ago . I might just make some Toll House cookies today . Have a great day !!

A Favorite Pastime

The March Release stamp Jumping Fish Linograph from Technique Junkies brought back some wonderful memories of my childhood and also that of my son's. I fresh-water fished often in Pennsylvania with my dad and brother. And my son and his dad fished together alot when he was young - they even made their own rods and lures !! As an adult, my son never lost his love of fishing . So this stamp was a nice reminder of all those memories !!

  • I stamped the Jumping Fish Lithograph on a piece of cream cardstock with blue and green inks .
  • I stamped the fish image again and fussy-cut it.
  • A piece of floral wood-grain paper was adhered to a gold metallic card base.
  • I adhered the stamped panel to a piece of dark green cardstock .
  • The completed panel was then adhered to the wood-grain paper.
  • I placed the fussy-cut fish on top of the stamped panel using a Wobble Spring .
  • A Tim Holtz Small Talk sticker was placed on the lower right side of the card .

You can check out all the March Release stamps over at Technique Junkies . And if you use my code - TJ10Deb - you will save 10% on your purchases .Look for more projects from me throughout the month here and on my social media - Facebook and IG .

A Beautiful Silhouette

I think this is one of the most beautiful stamps from the March Technique Junkies Release .Flower and Wing Silhouette is one of 13 new stamp/stamp sets released this month . All are 15% off through March 8 with no code required . My code - TJ10Deb - will save you 10% on all other supplies .

I chose the Shades of Beauty paper pack from Paper House Productions to use with my card for today. It goes perfectly with the design of my card . The Flower and Wing Silhouette stamp is beautiful on its own and I chose not to color any part of it, but used the butterfly paper strip  to enhance the butterflies on the stamped image .

  • The Flower and Wing Silhouette stamp was stamped on a piece of patterned Shades of Beauty paper  with Memento Tuxedo Black ink  and adhered to a black card base.
  • 2 strips of patterned paper - from the same paper pack - were adhered to the card . The butterfly strip was adhered to the bottom and the black/gold patterned strip was adhered to the left side.
I hope that you love this card as much as I do . The entire Technique Junkies Design Team has created some amazing cards with this image - they can all be seen at the link to the stamp here .

Thank you for stopping by to see my card . I'll be posting more throughout the month . Check out all of the new release stamps at Technique Junkies .

  • I stamped the Flower Border  in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a piece of white Mixed-Media paper.
  • The Faith Requires Trust sentiment was stamped above the border with Nautical Blue Memento ink.
  • I colored the image with my COPICS .
  • On a 5x7 Kraft card base, I adhered a piece of gold-foil cross paper.

Coffee & Cards with Deb & Celeste & a Crafty Elf / February 2024

Today is the day that Lisa and I post our holiday cards each month .  And since I had some new supplies that tied in with the theme that Celeste and I are using for our February Blog collaboration, I decided to combine my ideas. Celeste and I chose Mail Art / Snail Mail as our theme for February - one of my favorite themes ever !!

Coffee & Cards with Deb & Celeste - Mail Art / Snail Mail

Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas

I used some absolutely gorgeous paper and ephemera for my cards   today. They are from the Echo Park Paper Company Letters To Santa  collection. The colors in this collection are so vibrant and each paper design is more beautiful than the next !!  I couldn't decide which paper to use for my card so I created 2 cards !!

  • I stamped the letterbox from the Stamped With Love set by Stampin' Up. I used Tuxedo Black Memento ink on red cardstock and white cardstock.
  • I fussy-cut the letterboxes from the red cardstock and then cut the envelopes from the white .
  • The envelopes were adhered onto the red letterboxes and then a red sparkly heart was placed on each envelope.
  • I used a Pierced Chain Rectangle Die to cut some mats for the letterboxes.
  • I cut the patterned papers to fit my 5x7 Kraft card bases and adhered them to each card.
  • The die cut rectangles were adhered towards the top of each card .
  • I placed the letterboxes on each die cut rectangle with foam tabs.
  • Ephemera sentiments from the Letters To Santa collection were placed at the bottom of each card.
I'm excited to see what Celeste and Lisa have created. You can see Lisa's projects  here at Life of a BZscrapper and Celeste's over at her blog - Crafting Junky .It was nice to combine my post with Lisa and Celeste this month. It's been a hectic month here and I'm relaxing and enjoying a cup of Vanilla Macadamia Nut Coffee in a fun new cup I found on clearance at Joann's. I could almost resist it until I saw the pretty green gingham pattern inside the cup !! AND the mushroom and frog are raised off the mug - so cute ..

Thank you for stopping by to  see my latest holiday creation . Have you started on yours ?? Make a nice cup of coffee or tea and create some for your stash .

Until next time, Stay Creative

Nurses Are Angels

One of the new release stamps from Technique Junkies for February is  Nurses Are Angels . I have been an RN since 1984 and spent most of my career in Intensive Care Units. I absolutely loved taking care of my patients and also their families - it is a rewarding,  challenging and many times heartbreaking profession.  I'm no longer in direct patient care,  now looking forward to retirement I certainly don't see myself as an angel - I just hope that the care I've given to others has made a positive impact and made a scary situation a little less traumatic for my patients and their loved ones..

  • I stamped the Nurses Are Angels image on white mixed-media paper with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and Catherine Pooler Peppermint Scrub ink .
  • The stamped image was die-cut with a square scalloped die.
  • I adhered a piece of pink polka-dot patterned paper to a white card base.
  • A strip of paper was trimmed from a piece of patterned paper and adhered at the bottom of the polka-dot paper as a border.
  • Red rhinestones were placed in the center of every other flower on the border.
  • The completed stamped image was adhered to the card with foam tabs.

This is just one of 13 new stamps from Technique Junkies this month . You can save 10% when you shop with my code - TJ10Deb . Be kind to yourself and take time to create !!

Sisters

I grew up in a small town in northeastern Pennsylvania . I had one brother who was 6 years older than me. My mother had 9 brothers and sisters, so there were lots of cousins who lived nearby that I saw quite often. My best friend was from a large Italian family too - she had 9 younger brothers and sisters.  But I always wished for a sister of my own ; had a picture in my head of a wonderful relationship with someone who just would get me, love me and my quirky side no matter what .. When I saw this Sister Therapy stamp from the latest Technique Junkies Release, it took me back to my childhood when I wanted to have a sister so very badly !! And I could also hear my mom's voice telling me - "Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it ." LOL  I made this card for my friend Xenia to send to her sister in New York . I asked her their favorite colors ( black and gray !!! )  . And then I also used my favorite color - RED . I hope they both like it as much as I enjoyed making it.

  • I stamped the Sister Therapy image with 3 colors of Memento ink - Black Tuxedo, Gray Flannel and Lady Bug -  on white Mixed-Media paper.
  • I cut a piece of red patterned paper to fit an A2 card and adhered it to a pink card base.
  • The Sister Therapy image was die-cut with a Rectangle Swirl die.
  • I cut a strip of black patterned paper to fit lengthwise down the red paper and adhered it to the left side of the card.
  • The Sisters image was popped up on the card base with foam tabs.
  • Small red pearls were placed on the strip of black paper.

Don't forget that all of the new February Release stamps are 15% off through February 8. No code is needed for that . AND if you use my code - TJ10Deb - you can get  10% off all other supplies . So if you have a sister, have ever wanted a sister or have a friend who is just like a sister, you NEED this stamp !! I absolutely love it 💓

Thanks for stopping by . I always appreciate it .
Until next time, Stay Creative !!

Technique Junkies Stamp Release / February 2024

The Technique Junkies February Release is full of 13 wonderful new stamp sets !! Fun stamps for the background lover, cat lover, sentiment hoarder and animal lover - just to name a few . There is something for everyone !!

I've combined 2 of the new releases - Greek Tapestry and African Proverbs - to create a Valentine for a friend. When I first looked at the Greek Tapestry stamp, I wondered what I could do with that background.  Should I just use it as a card front ?? Then as I continued to look at it after I had stamped it, I realized that the gorgeous heart would make a beautiful Valentine for a friend.

  • I stamped the Greek Tapestry image on cream cardstock with Cranberry Fizz  ink from Catherine Pooler.
  • The heart was fussy-cut from the stamped panel.
  • I adhered a piece of scrap wood-patterned paper to a red card base.
  • The sentiment was stamped on a piece of gray patterned paper that already had the heart on it . Perfect !!
  • I adhered the fussy-cut heart to the center of the card .
  • The sentiment from African Proverbs was adhered near the bottom of the heart with foam tabs.
This stamp can be used in a variety of ways - as a beautiful background or by fussy-cutting or die-cutting certain areas.  As always, new release stamps are 15% off - NO CODE REQUIRED - through the 8th of the month . My code - TJ10Deb - will get you 10% off  everything else . Or if you just gotta have them all,  you can get a special price  over on the Technique Junkies  website. Pray On It

These notecards/bookmarks were made with the Pray On It stamp from the Technique Junkies January Stamp Release . I have been attending a Grief Support Group at a local church ever since my 46 year old son was killed in a DUI crash 12-23-21 . I feel like many in the group are now a part of my family . Even though it is held at a church , it is not a religious group. Everyone is welcome no matter your belief system. We share our stories, books that have helped us, and ways to keep ourselves sane in the midst of tragedy. I made these to share with anyone in the group who would like one. I will also be hanging one on our bulletin board with the photos of our loved ones.

Carter Nicholas Davison

  • I stamped the Pray On It image with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on various scraps of paper - patterned and cardstock .
  • The stamped image is 1.7" x 3.6" - I trimmed the images, leaving a small margin around the saying.
  • I adhered the stamped panels to scraps of patterned paper.
  • The completed panela were adhered to coordinating colors of cardstock.
  •  I colored PRAY with my COPICS.
  • The backs of the cards have ledger paper for notes.

This stamp is just one of the January Release Stamps from Technique Junkies.  As always, you can use my code - TJ10Deb - for a 10% discount. These cards/bookmarks were so quick and easy to make  - it's such a beautiful stamp ..

Thank you for visiting Meticulosity . Creativity and my circle of friends have been my stress relief, my support; especially over the past 2 years. I appreciate all of your kindness and comments ..  Until next time - Stay Creative.
