Mountain Plains Crafters is celebrating National Craft Month with a Tag-a-Friend post on our Facebook Page. Our fabulous sponsor for this event is Unity Stamp Company. Be sure to "like" us, then go to the post with the beautiful woodgrain photo and Tag-a-Friend. One lucky person and their tagged friend will each win a grab bag of 25 Unity stamps !! Show Unity some love too by heading to their Unity FB page and "liking" them as well.

This event began Monday, March 23 at 0600 and ends Wednesday, March 25 at midnight ET. Our Design Team members will each be making an Easter project using something amazing by Unity Stamp Company. The 2 winners will be announced on our Mountain Plains Crafters Facebook page and also on our blog on Friday.

I will admit that I had a difficult time deciding on a project. 3 projects were started then set aside..I just wasn't feeling them, if you know what I mean. Then I came across a vintage photo that was exactly what I was looking for. It brought back memories of childhood Easters, shopping with my mom for the perfect pair of shoes. She was a seamstress and usually made my dress. She sometimes made herself a matching dress. But shoe shopping was always filled with anticipation and usually an ice-cream cone after our purchase. I really hope that you enjoy my card as much as I (finally) enjoyed making it !! I even remember wearing some of those Buster Brown shoes...

I combined 2 Unity Stamp Company sets -   Some Bunny Thinking of You   and also  SheArt Doodles ( which is on sale right now )... SheArt Doodles is a set of 7 border stamps that are some of my absolute favorites. How can you resist these stamps ??? I sure couldn't ... I placed some turquoise velvet ribbon down the left side of the card and highlighted  2 of the shoes with Ranger Glossy Accents. I "painted" the rabbit with Distress Rock Candy Crackle Paint after doing some coloring and then cutting it out. I paper-pieced some floral paper on the egg and also colored and paper-pieced the borders across the egg.

If you haven't already done it, head over to our Mountain Plains Crafters  Facebook page , "like" our page and  also Tag-a-Friend for a  chance at that fabulous Unity Grab bag..Comment here for a chance to win 2 Unity Itty Bitty stamps.... And as always, thank you for visiting Meticulosity and showing your support for my creativity ..

How Sweet It Is ....

How sweet it is to share a love of coffee, tea & cocoa with so many others who either linked up to the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop or visited to enjoy all of the nearly 500 projects. My last card used the Tea for Two stamps by Unity Stamp Company. The card base is from the beautiful "Bramble Rose" collection from My Mind's Eye. I placed the Nature's Window diecut from Spellbinders In'Spire on the front of the card with a small piece of Webster's Pages paper in the window cut-out.. A woodgrain stain sample was used for the background of the sentiment. As I wait for Spring's arrival and new leaves to appear, I'll have a nice cup of tea and celebrate how sweet it is....

How Sweet It Is

Again, a great big thank-you to everyone who visited Meticulosity during  this Spring Hop. I will be choosing 2 winners at random from the comments and they will receive some Spring goodies !!

Coffee, my nook ..... And a book

I can spend a whole day at a local bookstore or coffee shop, reading and drinking coffee ( or tea sometimes ).. This stamp set by V's Sweet Ideas was perfect for ME !! At first, I wasn't sure I would like e-readers.. Holding a new book has always been an amazing feeling for me; turning the pages and always picking out a favorite bookmark ( usually hand-made ).. But I have grown to love my nook. I now have almost 1000 books/book samples on it as well as magazines .. I used an American Crafts "Lucky Charm " card base and some of their Glitter paper as a mat. I positioned 3 stamps on an acrylic block and stamped the image. The twine is by Martha Stewart and the sentiment was made with my awesome DYMO label maker.

I have had such fun creating cards for this Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.. I am so happy that you have visited my blog and I am grateful for all of your lovely comments ...

You are TEA-riffic

I love coffee but I do also love a good cup of tea, especially when I am curled up with a good book. Lately, my favorite is Caramel Chai by Zhena's Gypsy Tea. I wanted to use the Tea Love stamps by Unity Stamp Company. I started with a black & gold polka-dot card base by My Mind's Eye. I layered some American Crafts Doily acetate onto the card base and then added the Tea Love sentiment. I popped up the Tea Love cup with dimensionals and also added a few red rhinestones as a finishing touch. The heart and sentiment were stamped with Color Box Archival Dye Ink in "Red Devil". I absolutely LOVE their Cat's Eye ink pads, perfect for inking smaller areas of stamps !! I really love the black, gold & red color combination on this card. And the card was photographed on my new shelf that I bought this week for my Craft Room. I seem to be obsessed with woodgrain lately and the shelf is perfect.  I almost hate to put anything on it !!! This card will also be linked up on Friday at the Unity Stamp Company blog for Friends With Flair..

This card is for all you cocoa lovers.. I am sure there are many of you out there sipping your hot cocoa and hoping for Spring or at least a little bit of a thaw !!  The stamp is Marshmallow Friends by Inky Antics. Are You a Procaffinator ??

I consider myself a fairly organized person. And I am definitely NOT a procrastinator when it comes to paying my bills and deadlines at work or for the Design Team I am on. But I must admit that I have spent hours in my Craft Room drinking coffee and thinking more about projects than actually making them !! So right here and now, let me say  " My name is dEb and I am a big time Procaffinator !! " Lately it has been Caramel Custard Lattes.. And Cinnabon Lattes.. Caramel Coconut creamers and raw brown sugar .. I am dreaminess about Maple Sleigh Lattes and as soon as some of this snow melts, I am heading to Harris Teeter to score some of the amazing cups for my Keurig coffee maker..

So, if you are a procaffnator in your Crafty space or in your everyday life at home or work, THIS card is for you .. This Riley & Company stamp goes great with some of my favorite washi by Stampin' Up and Recollections. The cute coffee cup is from the  Taylored Expression's "Joe-to-Go" set which includes 7 coordinating dies. So, get your favorite cup pf coffee ready, sit down, relax and look at the projects in the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. Comment on my posts for a chance at some Springy craft supplies..

You're My Cup of Tea

This LaBlanche Teacup stamp has the loveliest floral pattern in the cup and saucer. It is a silicon stamp and the details in them are just amazing !! I wanted to share some tea designs for our fellow tea lovers. Not everyone is as coffee-obsessed as I am.. But I will admit that I also love tea and have sometimes had my cup of coffee from an intricate tea cup. Some of my latest tea favorites are a White Tea with Almond & Vanilla and a Green Tea with Coconut, Ginger & Vanilla, both by Harney & Sons..

I stamped the teacup image, that I had inked with "Blue Hawaii" StazOn and cut it out. I placed it on a doily that was a punch-out from a Colorbok embossed paper pad and used some My Mind's Eye washi to adhere it. A glittery sentiment tag from Docrafts Papermania was attached using a bit of Martha Stewart twine.

Are you a tea lover ?? What is your favorite tea ? I am always up for a new flavor to try. Share your favorite with me here in a comment You will have a chance at some Spring supplies by commenting here.

With Love
