Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas / January 2025

The Crafty Elves are back to bring you another year of inspiration. We will work our way through 2025, posting each month on the 25th to help you get ready for the holiday snail mail rush !! AND I'm thrilled to let you know that Michael Trent  will be joining us again !! He took some time off but of course, he couldn't stay away from us .. Show him some love and comment on his post.

For my first card, I used an old snowglobe Starbucks gift card and a gingerbread chipboard sticker from my Spellbinders Holiday Advent Calendar. A Tim Holtz sentiment was perfect to  complete my card !! This card came together in about 5 minutes  - now I have something to do with all those Starbucks cards !!

May Your Days Be Merry & Bright

My next 4 cards were also so quick and easy !! I stamped the Christmas Snow Globe images from Close To My Heart , colored them with my OLO Markers and fussy-cut them. I adhered each snow globe to a bright red card base, popping them up with foam tabs. I added some glitter to each snowglobe also. A Tim Holtz Label Sticker was adhered at the bottom right of each card .

Thank you for stopping by to begin a new year with us !! Check out the links to Lisa and Michael's cards for January .. I hope you find lots of inspiration and start your holiday cards with us .. It's so nice to have a stash to use when you're getting ready to send your holiday mail .

Until next month, Stay Creative

Coffee & Cards with Deb & Celeste / August 2023

Celeste and I are bringing you a little bit of SPARKLE this month as we have coffee and make cards .. I had the perfect stamp from the August Release at Technique Junkies - Born To Sparkle . Since everything is always better with a bit of sparkle, we chose it as our theme !!

  • I started by using a Sunburst die from Gina Marie Designs and cutting it with a piece of gold glitter paper and a piece of white glitter paper.
  • The sunbursts were adhered to card bases - the gold to a red card base and the white to  kraft.
  • The sentiment - Born To Sparkle -  was stamped with Nautical Blue Memento ink  and then cut to fit across the card base .
  • I popped up the sentiment across both cards with foam tabs .
  • I placed a large faceted rhinestone with a Paris design at the center of the white starburst and a Butterfly rhinestone on the gold.

I love these cards .. The glitter paper I used doesn't leave glitter all over the place which is a win in my guy's book .. He is NOT a fan of the sparkle !! Let's take a look at how Celeste is sparkling this month - you can see her card over at Crafting Junky .

My birthday is this month so I gave myself permission to buy a new cup without having to recycle one I already have . Plus this was 30% off at my local Starbucks !! I love everything mermaid and this really is gorgeous .Hard to tell but it's even sparkly at the bottom.  I'm drinking McDonald's Toffee Almond Iced Coffee today while I work on this post. Delicious !!

As we wind down summer, I am excitedly looking forward to cooler months. Sweater weather is my favorite time of year ..  And after all of our 100+ degree days, I promise not to complain when it is cold outside.  Well, at least not out loud !!

Thanks again for visiting Meticulosity ..
Until next time, Stay Creative

Coffee & Cards with Deb & Celeste - November

It's been a busy month here for me with work and creative deadlines and trying to balance home life. But especially at this time of year, I try to remember that I have so much to be thankful for. And that includes having a virtual cup of coffee each month with my friend, Celeste. This month, our theme is Thankful & Grateful.

For my card, I wanted to use a Mommy Lhey Design stamp set - Sweater Weather.  It has many fun stamps included that I decided to combine for my project.

  • Using my MISTI and Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink, I stamped each of the images - the fox, sentiment, pumpkin and sweater - in a square pattern onto a piece of watercolor paper.
  • I colored the images using Tombow Dual Brush Pens .
  • On a dark brown card base, I adhered 2 coordinating patterns of Julie Nutting "November - December" paper .
  • I added several Prima Marketing Crystals to the lower right side and upper left side of the card.
  • The stamped image was popped up on the card base with foam tabs.
As I sit here writing this, I am drinking a cup of Pecan Pie coffee in a holiday Starbucks cup. I just bought a new turquoise Keurig coffee maker and have been thoroughly enjoying it.

I'm excited to see what Celeste has made and you can check it out on her blog  - Crafting Junky . With Thanksgiving coming , I just want to say thank-you to everyone who visits Meticulosity. I appreciate all of your comments - please sign up to follow me so you don't miss any new posts.

Until next time, Stay Creative.

April Cookies - Take 2

As soon as I saw the Inspiration Photo for Challenge #115 over at If You Give a Crafter a Cookie , I immediately thought of the rabbit-shaped gift cards I recently saw at Starbucks. I love it when an idea pops into my head like that !!

I knew I wanted to create a scene for this card and these cute flowers and the sun from Unity Stamp Company's Susan K Weckesser's Create Your Day stamp set were absolutely perfect !! I had a gorgeous Spring day to take a picture of my card and I hope that you like it .

  • On a pale blue card base, I placed a piece of blue striped paper from the  fun 6x6 paper pad by My Mind's Eye " Well, Hello "  .
  • I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the 3 flowers and the sun .
  • The sun was paper-pieced with a yellow-checked pattern also from the Well,Hello paper pad.
  • The flowers were colored with my Faber-Castell PITT Artist pens.
  • A piece of blue/green patterned washi from Scotch was placed along the bottom of the blue-striped paper.
  • The rabbit was adhered in the lower Left corner with double-sided removable tape so the recipient can use the gift card !!
  • The Hello and bee are puffy stickers from Jen Hadfield for American Crafts.
  • I placed a blue, pink and gold sequin on the card for a bit of shimmer.
Hop on over to the IF YOU GIVE A CRAFTER A COOKIE  blog to see the rest of the Design Team's projects. We hope you will be inspired to link up one of your own. This challenge runs from April 18 - May 1. Thank you all so much for stopping by my own little corner of the crafting world - Meticulosity. I greatly appreciate it and also the comments you make.

Coffee & Cards with Deb & Celeste 12/16

Hard to believe we will be celebrating Christmas in less than 2 weeks !! Are you finished your cards ?? How about your holiday shopping ?? I told myself that I wasn't going to get stressed this year and so far,so good. Cards will be finished tomorrow and some might be late. Presents are mostly bought . I even bought some for ME !! Our new kitty Pixie seems to be the big winner so far when it comes to presents !!

Because coffee is such a big part of this blog and it is the holiday season, we decided that our theme this time would be Holiday Coffee. Our guest for this last collaboration of 2018 is Shanna Slater. We met through our love of coffee and paper-crafting -- I think it was on the Coffee Loving Papercrafters Facebook page. You can find her blog at Caffeinated Craftiness  -- see, she's the perfect guest for us !!!

For my card today, I used the cutest little elf stamp and made sure she had a nice BIG cup of Gingerbread coffee to energize her while she finishes those last-minute Christmas cards !!

  • I placed a strip of Little B red-foiled plaid washi tape down the left edge of a Kraft card base.
  • I stamped Crafty Little Elf from Unity Stamp Company onto Neenah Stardust White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The elf image was colored with a variety of my favorite markers - Brea Reese, Faber-Castell, Sharpies & BIC Flair. My favorite yellow Cutter Bee scissors are in her apron pocket !!
  • I adhered the stamped image to the bottom of the Kraft card and then placed the red cup next to it, popping that up with Tombow Foam Tabs. I do not remember where that red digi cup came from . If anyone knows, please tell me so I can give them credit.
  • The sentiment and red checkered paper are both from the Merry Merry paper pad from Pebbles Inc.

I'm sure that Celeste will have a fabulous project over at Crafting Junky . And Shanna has  undoubtedly come up with something fantastic that you can see at Caffeinated Craftiness. We are so glad that she joined us for our holiday collaboration !!

My coffee for this post is Sugar Cookie and I am drinking it from my new Starbucks mug. I recently cleaned out some kitchen cabinets and that included some of my vast mug collection. But I really could not resist this one that I found at the Starbucks inside our local Target. Isn't it the sweetest ?!?!?!

Thank you once again for visiting Meticulosity and following along each month with us. Celeste and I have had such fun and hope that you have too !! I hope that you will be back for some more inspiration and creativity in 2019. Merry Christmas to all of you from me, Brian & Pixie. And a happy, healthy 2019 to all of you ..

Haha, love your top 5!! And that signature stamp is the greatest (have it too).

Of course, I couldn't just post the winner without making another card.... How simple is this one ?!?! A Starbucks coffee info card, the free Verve digis and a bit of background paper from a very old GCD Studios paper pad is all it took..  Plus a bit of a Clear Glitter Wink of Stella brush. And of course, a kraft card base... Don't you just love Kraft, especially this time of year ???

KONA Anyone ??

Inspired by my friend Lori, I am entering a coffee-themed card in the Simon Says Monday Challenge : Coffee or Tea.. This is what happens when you can't sleep at 3 a.m. You gather your favorite supplies and create !!

I used a Sherwin Williams paint sample in Memorable Rose along with a KONA coffee information card from my beloved Starbucks.. The travel mug is from a stamp in the Joe-to-Go set by the fabulous Taylored Expressions.. A few sequin stickers (they are the Bomb) from We R Memory Keepers completed the card....

Hope you like my card... Be sure to go over and see all of the other amazing creations on the BLOG for the Simon Says Monday Challenge....
