Coffee & Cards with Deb & Celeste / October 2023

It's that spooky time of year when children are getting ready to trick or treat, leaves are falling, pumpkins are being carved and temperatures are finally starting to cool off  So what better theme for Celeste and I than Halloween !!

I was so sad to see that Ellen Hutson  was retiring, but I got some amazing deals on stamp sets. some with matching dies . I combined 2 sets for my card and also added googly eyes ( which I hate ) for my friend Michael ( he is obsessed with them ) !!!  Although I will admit that I did have fun with this card and just might now like googly eyes a little tiny bit.

  • I stamped the candy jar from the Hard Candy Christmas stamp set  with Tuxedo Black Memento Dew Drop Ink on white mixed-media paper.
  • The orange candies in the jar were stamped with Catherine Pooler Mandarin Spice ink and then cut out with the matching dies.
  • I colored a few areas of the jar with my COPICS.
  • I arranged the googly eyes and candies in the jar and took a picture so I could follow it as I was adhering them.
  • The sentiment from the Halloween Magic stamp set was stamped with Mandarin Spice ink and then trimmed to fit beneath the jar.
  • I adhered the completed stamped panel  to an orange card base.
  • The sentiment was popped up beneath the jar with foam tabs.
I am absolutely certain that Celeste will have something spectacular for us this month !! You can see her card over at Crafting Junky . I'm thankful for each and every one of you who takes the time to join us for coffee and cards . This month, I'm drinking my all-time favorite coffee of the holiday season - Gingerbread - from a cute cup given to me by my friend, Xenia ..  "Hey, Boo" is a favorite rubber stamp of mine and I also say it alot this time of year ... I was thrilled when she found it for me !!

Enjoy this beautiful time of year, take some time for yourself doing whatever it is you love to do AND until next time, stay creative !!

Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas / October 2023

When did it become October  ?? Only 2 months until Christmas !!! It's hard to believe, when it seems like it was 100 degrees yesterday and I was dreading opening the electric bill . Today we even had some frost in our area and I needed a sweater on my way into work. But it is time for the Crafty Elves to bring you their latest projects and I hope you're inspired to start a few cards of your own.. I'm excited to see what Michael and Lisa have for us .

For my card this month, I used one of the October Releases from Technique Junkies. The Merry Be Your Christmas stamp is a beautiful traditional image for your holiday cards.

  • On a piece of white cardstock, I stamped the Merry Be image. I used Lady Bug, Nautical Blue, Cottage Ivy and Paris Dusk  ink colors .
  • The Row of Houses die from Gina Marie Designs was die-cut from bright red cardstock.
  • I adhered a piece of patterned holiday paper to a pink card base.
  • The stamped panel was adhered to the patterned paper.
  • I placed the Row of Houses along the bottom of the stamped panel.

This card was not very complicated and I definitely love its message. It would be an easy card to mass produce also. Please take a look at what Michael and Lisa have for you this month as we find our way to the holiday season..

Michael Trent - World of Michael Trent

He Made It / She Made It - Oct. 2023

Our latest stamp to create with for HE MADE IT / SHE MADE IT is the Holly and Berries stamp from the October Technique Junkies release . Michael Trent and I choose a stamp each month and make a project with it. He's an amazing papercrafter in Brazil ( by way of NYC ) and we have a friendship based on our love of paper and coffee basically !! So let's see what we've come up with for October .. You might look at my card and think how pretty my patterned paper is but that is actually the Holly & Berries stamp..

  • On a red card base, I adhered a Christmas plaid patterned paper.
  • I stamped the Holly and Berries image on white cardstock with Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The stamped image was cut out with a Big and Little Pierced Chain Circle Die .
  • I colored the holly and berries with my COPICS, Flair pens and Sharpies.
  • On the stamped circle, I layered 2023 Tim Holtz Idea-ology Christmas ephemera .
  • I stapled the "merry" to the music page and popped up the 25 cents with foam tabs.
  • The completed circle was adhered to the plaid paper on the card base.
  • The Christmas sentiment was also popped up  below the circle with foam tabs.

This stamp can be used in so many ways - as a background, as your card base, for tags or ATCs. I will be using it alot this holiday season. I know that Michael will come up with something very creative using this stamp - you can check out what he made over at World of Michael Trent .

Thanks for stopping by Meticulosity.

October is here and we're finally enjoying some cool temperatures here in Virginia. You can use my code - TJ10Deb - for a 10% discount on all other supplies ..

My first card was made with the Gnome Skaters stamp .I am not really a fan of gnomes but some  are cuter than others !!! So I came out of my comfort zone and decided to create a card with that image .

  • I stamped the Gnome Skaters on white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The image was colored with my COPICS and  Flair pens .
  • Big and Little Chain Rectangle Die was used to cut the Gnome Skaters image.
  • I adhered a piece of patterned woodgrain paper to a white card base.
  • Sticker initials spelling out JOY were placed along the left side of the gnome panel.
  • The completed stamped panel was adhered to the wood panel paper.

For my next card I used the Draped Holly Bells image . This is an absolutely gorgeous stamp  and a dream to color . I wanted a subtle background with just a hint of shimmer so it didn't take away from the elegant stamped image.

  • The Draped Holly Bells were stamped on a piece of pale tan mixed media paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink .
  • A stitched rectangle die was used to die cut the stamped image.
  • I colored the image with my COPICS , Flair pens and Flair Metallic pens.
  • On a pale blue card base, I adhered a piece of light blue paper patterned with gold glittered stars.
  • The completed stamped panel was popped up on the card base with foam tabs.
  • A "magic and merriment" sentiment sticker was placed on the lower right side of the card base.

I hope that you like these cards I've created for this Release . I will be showing more throughout the month both here, on the Technique Junkies Design Team blog  and my other social media . This month we have a Guest Elf - Pam Stang  of Mustang Creations .

I used the Happy Gnomes Bundle from Hero Arts to make my card, I recently won a prize of  a gift card from Hero Arts and this stamp/die set was one of my purchases.  I am really not on the gnome bandwagon like many are lately, but I did love this set .

  • I stamped the 2 gnomes on white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the matching dies to cut them .
  • The sentiment was also stamped on white cardstock with Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The images were colored with my COPICS.
  • On a pink card base, I adhered a piece of patterned paper from the Miss Mary Christmas paper pad.
  • I used the Dashes and Frills Heart Die Set from Unity Stamp Company to die cut a heart from pale pink polka-dot paper.
  • The heart was adhered to the center of the patterned paper near the top.
  • The gnomes were positioned on either side of the heart .
  • I trimmed around the sentiment and adhered it to a piece of the same pin polka-dot paper.

Coffee & Cards with Deb & Celeste / September 2023

Celeste and I are back this month and FINALLY Fall has arrived.. I think that the crazy hot weather is over and we are in for some beautiful days ahead. NAS Oceana is having their airshow today, so Brian is watching from our front yard, where  the view is magnificent !! I'm finishing up this blogpost while the jets fly overhead .  Our theme this month is one of our favorites - Coffee . And Celeste found a fabulous inspiration photo ..

For my card today, I used the Photoplay I Love Fall stamp & die collection. These have been in my stash for awhile and I knew they would be perfect for this month's card ..

  • I stamped the girl, pumpkin and leaves on White Mixed Media paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The matching dies were used to cut out the stamped images.
  • I then colored the images with my COPICS.
  • On an orange card base, I adhered a piece of quilt design patterned paper. I have been hoarding this paper for years and years !!
  • I used a stitched rectangle die to create a background for my stamped images.
  • The girl and gold leaf were adhered to the word patterned paper and then the pumpkin, acorn and orange leaf were popped up with foam tabs .
  • I adhered the completed stamped panel to the quilted paper.
  • A Happy Together sticker from Paper House Productions was placed in the upper right corner of the stamped panel. I used this sticker because when it comes to coffee,  are ALWAYS happy together !!

Celeste is an expert at coffee cards so you won't want to miss hers !! You can check it out over at her blog Crafting Junky . This month I am drinking some Toffee Almond coffee from a fun cup .. it's the Heartbeat Cup from Cognitive Surplus.  I am currently monitoring patient's heart rhythms at the hospital I work at so I just had to have this when I saw it.  It also helped me study for the latest Rhythm Test I just had to take .. LOL

I hope that our cards have gotten you into the Fall mood and inspired you to make a few of your own. We appreciate you stopping by and look forward to seeing you next month . Until then, enjoy Fall leaves, pumpkin spice everything and most of all, Stay Creative.
