Wreath Wishes

It's so hard to believe this is my last blog post for 2023 !! Where has the time gone ?!?! I'm ready for new beginnings in 2024 and will definitely keep creating - it is my sanity,my bliss !! I've created a quick card to share with the Wreath Wishes stamp set from Technique Junkies .

  • I stamped the Wreath and sentiment on a piece of Kraft cardstock .
  • The square was cut with a Double Stitched Square Die .
  • I colored the wreath with my COPIC markers.
  • The completed panel was adhered to a pink card base.

I love the look of coloring on Kraft cardstock. It gives designs a vintage feel that I really like . Do you stamp on Kraft ?? I thought it was perfect for this design.

I'm looking forward to the January 2024 Stamp Release from Technique Junkies tomorrow.  I hope you will return to see what I created and also to see the other projects from my teammates.

Thank you so much for following me on my creative journey. I'm excited to see the creativity that a new year has to offer.. I hope you have a safe and warm New Year's Eve with your family and/or friends. Let's make 2024 a healthy, happy and kind year !!

Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas / December 2023

It's time for the Crafty Elves to share their last cards of 2023 .. I'll admit that I'm running a little late this year  - I had to work Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, which seriously put me behind on a bit of holiday spirit !! But now I'm thrilled to have 3 days off , I'm drinking an uninterrupted cup of coffee and can finally finish this post !! Michael isn't joining us this month and also has decided to take a break for 2024, but he definitely has an open invitation as a Guest Elf whenever he'd like to join us..

I made 2 cards this month with some of my favorite new stamp sets ..  The first was made with the Pooh''s List stamp set from Unity Stamp Company. This set is so sweet and I loved making this card and coloring the images .

My next card was created with the latest Stamp of the Month from Close To My Heart -Christmas Snow Globes .These are fabulous images to fussy-cut but you can also buy a stamp/die set .  There are 4 snow globes, 2 sentiments and a border included in this set .

Since I'm running late, I won't bore you with instructions !! Grab some pretty paper, ink , your stamp , some markers and adhesive and VOILA !!! Oh - and a bit of Stickles for the headlights ..

Take a look at Lisa's December creation over at her blog - Life of a BZscrapper . Her cards are always masterpieces !! It's hard to believe that 2024 will be our 6th year posting as the Crafty Elves !! It's always nice to have that stash of cards to use when the holidays roll around.. If you'd like to be a Guest Elf with us one month, please get in touch with me or Lisa and let us know .. We'd love to have you join in !!

We will see you again on January 25 as we begin another year.

Until then, Stay Creative !!

Coffee & Cards with Deb & Celeste / December 2023

Celeste and I are here with our last Coffee & Cards collaboration of 2023 .. We will be back next year for more creativity and if you would like to join us one month, please let us know. This month Celeste chose our inspiration photo. I did not know what she was going to choose for us, but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw it ..We hope that you like it and how we both were inspired by it .

I had picked out the Brutus Monroe "Tis the Season" stamp set for my card a few weeks ago .This is just the cutest stamp and so easy to color !! Imagine my surprise when I saw Celeste's inspiration photo !!! How perfect is this ?!?!?!

  • I stamped the Tis the Season image on white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink .
  • I die cut the image with an etched square die .
  • The stamped panel was colored with my COPICS and metallic Sharpie markers.
  • I adhered a piece of burgundy ribbon across the center of a piece of pine branch paper.
  • The stamped panel was adhered to the pine branch paper on top of the ribbon .
  • The pine branch panel was adhered to a green card base.

Can you believe that I actually chose a design that almost perfectly matched our photo ?? It was a great stamp to work with .. Take some time to check out what Celeste created over at her blog - Crafting Junky . For my coffee this month, I'm using a new coffee cup that I found online on clearance at Kohls . And i'm drinking Crazy Cups "White Christmas" coffee .This coffee has flavors of caramel, macadamia, nut coconut, vanilla and bourbon. It is absolutely delicious !! I bought it on Amazon in a variety pack with several other amazing holiday flavors ..

Thank you for visiting Meticulosity .. I hope that you are having a wonderful December and staying warm. Please enjoy whatever holiday you celebrate this month - Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or Christmas . Spend time with friends and family . Take time for yourself - get creative or read a book, listen to music or take a walk outside. Celeste and I will see you again as we continue our collaboration in 2024 !!

Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas / November 2023

I don't know where the time went .. This past year has flown by !!  4 weeks until Christmas and here we are again - the Crafty Elves - AND we have a very special Guest Elf. Amy Tsuruta is an amazing papeecrafter and the force behind the Coffee Loving Papercrafters page on Facebook !! She just finished up the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and was gracious enough to agree to join us . I really can't say enough nice things about her .. I'm excited to see what she creates for us this month .

There are so many new Christmas stamps in my stash .. I had a hard time deciding which ones to use for this post .. But finally Tim Holz's Christmas Cartoons won . I love these stamps . They remind me of the Jetsons !!

  • I stamped the images on white Mixed Media paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink .
  • The sentiments were stamped last, using my MISTI for proper placement.
  • The images were colored in with my COPICS.
  • I adhered pieces of some hoarded Tim Holtz Christmas patterned paper to a powder blue and a bright green card base,
  • I matted each of the completed stamped panels with green cardstock
  • The stamped panels were popped up on the card bases with foam tabs.
  • I placed a silver glitter mini clothes pin at the top of the stamped panel on the powder blue card base .

These images were so quick and easy to color !! I know I will be making many more this holiday season. Now it's time to see what the rest of the Crafty Elves have created .. You can find them at the links below -

We hope that you like our creations for November. Thanks so much to Amy for joining us  I will be sending some holiday blog candy to 1 commeter on this post .. I'll choose someone at random .. Coffee & Cards with Deb & Celeste / November 2023

Celeste and I are getting in the holiday spirit with this month's inspiration photo !! Last year, she sent me a stamp set from Close To My Heart and she also has the set . We decided to use it for our cards this month !! We hope you are inspired to make a few holidays cards yourself if you haven't already ..

The Close To My Heart stamp/die set "Comfort and Joy"  has so many fun elements . I had planned on using the tree then couldn't make up my mind when I sat down to work on the card .... So, I decided to combine 3 of the stamps into 1 slimline card . I hope you like it !!

  • I stamped the images using Catherine Pooler Mini ink pads -  the colors were as follows - Deck the Halls/Eucalyptus , Noel/Peppermint Scrub and Eucalyptus, and the Tree & Star/Spruce and Sauna .
  • The images were cut using the matching dies.
  • I adhered the die-cut green leaves to the NOEL image.
  • I cut a piece of dark red cardstock for my slimline card.
  • A piece of plaid holiday paper was cut to fit the card base anda strip of gold glitter washi was placed down the left side .
  • I adhered the plaid paper to the card base.
  • The stamped images were adhered to the plaid paper.
  • I placed several blue-green rhinestones on the Deck the Halls image.
  • Small colored pearls were adhered to the tree.
I used my new paper cutter on this card  - the Tim Holtz-Tonic Precision Trimmer . I had the same cutter for almost 10 years and wanted to try something new. I am not affiliated with these companies - I just honestly love this trimmer. You can check out its features and see a video HERE at Tonic Studios.

It will be fun to see what Celeste has created using the same stamp set .  Her card can be found over at her blog - Crafting Junky . For my coffee this month, I couldn't pass up using my Red Cup from Starbucks. I am excited every year for Red Cup Day and this year was no exception !! I'm using this picture from Starbucks of the cup because it is so pretty but I'm using my own at home as I write this .  Chestnut Praline coffee is my flavor cloice for November.  We had roasted and boiled chestnuts every Christmas when I was growing up in Pennsylvania so this coffee brings back lots of happy memories !!

Thank you for visiting Meticulosity to see what Celeste and I are up to this season. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by friends and family .. Don't forget to relax in the middle of all the chaos of the cooking, cleaning, football watching etc ..

Until next time - Stay Creative

I chose the Vintage Script Collage for my first card of this release.  I had several ideas for this stamp  - ATC card or coins, 2 mini slimline cards or a slimline card .. The list went on and on.. Coffee & Cards with Deb & Celeste / October 2023

It's that spooky time of year when children are getting ready to trick or treat, leaves are falling, pumpkins are being carved and temperatures are finally starting to cool off  So what better theme for Celeste and I than Halloween !!

I was so sad to see that Ellen Hutson  was retiring, but I got some amazing deals on stamp sets. some with matching dies . I combined 2 sets for my card and also added googly eyes ( which I hate ) for my friend Michael ( he is obsessed with them ) !!!  Although I will admit that I did have fun with this card and just might now like googly eyes a little tiny bit.

  • I stamped the candy jar from the Hard Candy Christmas stamp set  with Tuxedo Black Memento Dew Drop Ink on white mixed-media paper.
  • The orange candies in the jar were stamped with Catherine Pooler Mandarin Spice ink and then cut out with the matching dies.
  • I colored a few areas of the jar with my COPICS.
  • I arranged the googly eyes and candies in the jar and took a picture so I could follow it as I was adhering them.
  • The sentiment from the Halloween Magic stamp set was stamped with Mandarin Spice ink and then trimmed to fit beneath the jar.
  • I adhered the completed stamped panel  to an orange card base.
  • The sentiment was popped up beneath the jar with foam tabs.
I am absolutely certain that Celeste will have something spectacular for us this month !! You can see her card over at Crafting Junky . I'm thankful for each and every one of you who takes the time to join us for coffee and cards . This month, I'm drinking my all-time favorite coffee of the holiday season - Gingerbread - from a cute cup given to me by my friend, Xenia ..  "Hey, Boo" is a favorite rubber stamp of mine and I also say it alot this time of year ... I was thrilled when she found it for me !!

Enjoy this beautiful time of year, take some time for yourself doing whatever it is you love to do AND until next time, stay creative !!

Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas / October 2023

When did it become October  ?? Only 2 months until Christmas !!! It's hard to believe, when it seems like it was 100 degrees yesterday and I was dreading opening the electric bill . Today we even had some frost in our area and I needed a sweater on my way into work. But it is time for the Crafty Elves to bring you their latest projects and I hope you're inspired to start a few cards of your own.. I'm excited to see what Michael and Lisa have for us .

For my card this month, I used one of the October Releases from Technique Junkies. The Merry Be Your Christmas stamp is a beautiful traditional image for your holiday cards.

  • On a piece of white cardstock, I stamped the Merry Be image. I used Lady Bug, Nautical Blue, Cottage Ivy and Paris Dusk  ink colors .
  • The Row of Houses die from Gina Marie Designs was die-cut from bright red cardstock.
  • I adhered a piece of patterned holiday paper to a pink card base.
  • The stamped panel was adhered to the patterned paper.
  • I placed the Row of Houses along the bottom of the stamped panel.

This card was not very complicated and I definitely love its message. It would be an easy card to mass produce also. Please take a look at what Michael and Lisa have for you this month as we find our way to the holiday season..

Michael Trent - World of Michael Trent
Lisa Bzibziak - Life of BZscrapper

He Made It / She Made It - Oct. 2023

Our latest stamp to create with for HE MADE IT / SHE MADE IT is the Holly and Berries stamp from the October Technique Junkies release . Michael Trent and I choose a stamp each month and make a project with it. He's an amazing papercrafter in Brazil ( by way of NYC ) and we have a friendship based on our love of paper and coffee basically !! So let's see what we've come up with for October .. You might look at my card and think how pretty my patterned paper is but that is actually the Holly & Berries stamp..

  • On a red card base, I adhered a Christmas plaid patterned paper.
  • I stamped the Holly and Berries image on white cardstock with Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The stamped image was cut out with a Big and Little Pierced Chain Circle Die .
  • I colored the holly and berries with my COPICS, Flair pens and Sharpies.
  • On the stamped circle, I layered 2023 Tim Holtz Idea-ology Christmas ephemera .
  • I stapled the "merry" to the music page and popped up the 25 cents with foam tabs.
  • The completed circle was adhered to the plaid paper on the card base.
  • The Christmas sentiment was also popped up  below the circle with foam tabs.

This stamp can be used in so many ways - as a background, as your card base, for tags or ATCs. I will be using it alot this holiday season. I know that Michael will come up with something very creative using this stamp - you can check out what he made over at World of Michael Trent .

Thanks for stopping by Meticulosity.

Technique Junkies Stamp Release / October 2023

October is here and we're finally enjoying some cool temperatures here in Virginia. As we ready ourselves for Halloween,  we're also heading into the holiday season.  The October Stamp Release from Technique Junkies is full of amazing images for Christmas and Hanukkah . All  the new designs are 15% off through October 8  ( no code needed ) or you can buy all of them at a special discount price.   Get started now on your holiday cards with a shopping spree !! You can use my code - TJ10Deb - for a 10% discount on all other supplies ..

My first card was made with the Gnome Skaters stamp .I am not really a fan of gnomes but some  are cuter than others !!! So I came out of my comfort zone and decided to create a card with that image .

  • I stamped the Gnome Skaters on white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The image was colored with my COPICS and  Flair pens .
  • Big and Little Chain Rectangle Die was used to cut the Gnome Skaters image.
  • I adhered a piece of patterned woodgrain paper to a white card base.
  • Sticker initials spelling out JOY were placed along the left side of the gnome panel.
  • The completed stamped panel was adhered to the wood panel paper.

For my next card I used the Draped Holly Bells image . This is an absolutely gorgeous stamp  and a dream to color . I wanted a subtle background with just a hint of shimmer so it didn't take away from the elegant stamped image.

  • The Draped Holly Bells were stamped on a piece of pale tan mixed media paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink .
  • A stitched rectangle die was used to die cut the stamped image.
  • I colored the image with my COPICS , Flair pens and Flair Metallic pens.
  • On a pale blue card base, I adhered a piece of light blue paper patterned with gold glittered stars.
  • The completed stamped panel was popped up on the card base with foam tabs.
  • A "magic and merriment" sentiment sticker was placed on the lower right side of the card base.

I hope that you like these cards I've created for this Release . I will be showing more throughout the month both here, on the Technique Junkies Design Team blog  and my other social media . Coffee & Cards with Deb & Celeste / September 2023

Celeste and I are back this month and FINALLY Fall has arrived.. I think that the crazy hot weather is over and we are in for some beautiful days ahead. NAS Oceana is having their airshow today, so Brian is watching from our front yard, where  the view is magnificent !! I'm finishing up this blogpost while the jets fly overhead .  Our theme this month is one of our favorites - Coffee . And Celeste found a fabulous inspiration photo ..

For my card today, I used the Photoplay I Love Fall stamp & die collection. These have been in my stash for awhile and I knew they would be perfect for this month's card ..

  • I stamped the girl, pumpkin and leaves on White Mixed Media paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The matching dies were used to cut out the stamped images.
  • I then colored the images with my COPICS.
  • On an orange card base, I adhered a piece of quilt design patterned paper. I have been hoarding this paper for years and years !!
  • I used a stitched rectangle die to create a background for my stamped images.
  • The girl and gold leaf were adhered to the word patterned paper and then the pumpkin, acorn and orange leaf were popped up with foam tabs .
  • I adhered the completed stamped panel to the quilted paper.
  • A Happy Together sticker from Paper House Productions was placed in the upper right corner of the stamped panel. I used this sticker because when it comes to coffee,  are ALWAYS happy together !!

Celeste is an expert at coffee cards so you won't want to miss hers !! You can check it out over at her blog Crafting Junky . This month I am drinking some Toffee Almond coffee from a fun cup .. it's the Heartbeat Cup from Cognitive Surplus.  I am currently monitoring patient's heart rhythms at the hospital I work at so I just had to have this when I saw it.  It also helped me study for the latest Rhythm Test I just had to take .. LOL

I hope that our cards have gotten you into the Fall mood and inspired you to make a few of your own. We appreciate you stopping by and look forward to seeing you next month . Until then, enjoy Fall leaves, pumpkin spice everything and most of all, Stay Creative.
