October Cookies / Take 1

Challenge #153 over at If You Give a Crafter a Cookie  is all about the colors and cookies of Fall . I want to grab a few of those cookies and sit down with a nice cup of coffee. After all, today is International Coffee Day !!

I used the colors of Fall for my latest card . I have been creating with some fun digi stamps by Not 2 Shabby and Better with a Friend is my latest favorite !!

  • I printed the Better with a Friend  image on Strathmore Marker Paper to fit on a pale blue card base .
  • The image was colored with Copic Ciao markers.
  • I adhered the colored image to the pale blue base with my Pink Scotch ATG Gun.
  • The scarf was paper-pieced with a piece of Fall patterned plaid scrapbook paper.

You should check out all of the fabulous digi-stamps HERE that Not 2 Shabby has to offer. They also have a variety of other stamps and supplies . My teammates have also used the fun Inspiration Photo to create their projects too -- you can find them over at our main BLOG . This Challenge is open through October 14 and we would love for you to join us by linking up a project of your own..

Take care of yourselves and until next time, Stay Creative and wear your mask !!

Coffee & Cards with Deb & Celeste / September 2020

Celeste and I are here once again to have our coffee with you and share our latest cards .. I chose this inspiration photo because I have been seeing pumpkins everywhere !! We have had a cool-down in our weather here and it is  such a welcome change .. Although we did have some 80 degree temps this weekend, that is even a nice change from the 100 degree weather we had over the summer .

I have quite a few stamp sets with pumpkins !! Many are pumpkin spice latte designs !! As soon as I saw the Not 2 Shabby Designs image Pumpkin Spice Everything , I bought it, printed it and colored it for this card !!

  • I printed the Pumpkin Spice Everything image from Not 2 Shabby Designs on Strathmore Marker Paper.
  • I adhered a piece of Autumn-patterned paper from a fabulous Recollections Paper Pad - Fall At The Park - to a bright yellow card base. This paper has glossy accents on the leaves.
  • I colored the image with my Copic Markers and added some Wink of Stella Clear Glitter highlights to the red cup and the foam .
  • The stamped image was popped up at the top of the patterned paper with foam tabs.

I really really love this design so much and have already printed several more to make cards with. I know I will be sending several to friends during the Fall Season.

I can't wait to see what Celeste has created for our pumpkin theme !! Since we are both coffee lovers, I wonder if hers will have a PSL vibe too ?!?! Check out her blog at Crafting Junky and get inspired to make a Pumpkiny card of your own !! For my coffee this  month, I am using another Hobby Lobby clearance mug. It was $1 last year after the holidays. I used one last month and this is a different version of the owl mug.  I am drinking Blonde Roast coffee with Caramel Waffle Cookie creamer -- it is so delicious... And the creamer is inspired by one of my favorite holiday movies Elf. Are you enjoying a nice cup of coffee or tea today ??

Take a few minutes out of your busy day and do something nice for yourself.. Read a book, create something, write a letter to a friend.. Or just sit with your favorite coffee and relax.. Thank you for joining us again and until next time - - - -  Stay Creative !!

Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas / September 2020

Another month has gone by - another month of COVID social-distancing and wearing masks. AND another month of the Crafty Elves inspiring you to get started on your holiday cards early .. I can't believe it is September and there are only 3 months until Christmas. We have all been busy and I can't wait for you to see what we all have created !!

I had fun with some of my favorite stamp companies and hope you are as pleased with these cards as I am.. Have you started your holiday cards yet ??  You still have time to join in with us for the next few months.

  • The image Santa, Stockings, Candy Canes, etc..  from Unity Stamp Company was stamped on Strathmore Marker paper with Gina K Jet Black Amalgam Ink. This is an older stamp from 2013 but is still available ,
  • I had masked off the HO HO HO and then stamped that with a Memento Lady Bug Dew Drop. Using my MISITI  makes stamping so much easier !!
  • A piece of glitter striped patterned paper was adhered to a white card base.
  • A piece of blue snowflake patterned paper was adhered down the left side of the striped paper.
  • I colored in areas of the stamped image with my Copics, added a strip of washi to the top and then adhered the stamped panel to the snowflake paper with foam tabs.

  • This Unity Stamp Company image is from 2014 - All is Calm, All is Bright . It was stamped on a piece of tan ledger paper with Close To My Heart Espresso Ink.
  • The Sentiment was stamped on pink ledger paper with Gina K Jet Black Amalgam ink .
  • I adhered a piece of metallic plaid paper to  pink card base.
  • The deer image was adhered to the plaid paper and then the sentiment was popped up in the upper right hand corner of the stamped panel with foam tabs.

  • I was so excited to finally ink up this  Caffeinated - Reindeer  from The Rabbit Hole Designs . I stamped it on Strathmore Marker paper with Gina K Jet Black Amalgam ink and then used the matching die to cut it.
  • I colored the stamped image with my Copics.
  • The sentiments were stamped on pink and gray ledger paper and trimmed.
  • I adhered a piece of song lyric paper to a pink card base.
  • The reindeer was popped up with foam tabs on the right side of the lyrics paper.
  • The sentiments were adhered to the lyrics paper to the left and at the bottom of the reindeer.
  • Several light and dark pink dots were placed underneath #reindeerfuel .
  • Wink of Stella Clear Glitter marker was placed on the reindeer nose and the coffee cup .
  • I just LOVE this reindeer and I want that candy-cane robe !!!

  • Leave it to Stampendous to have the perfect stamp for the  2020 holidays !!
  • I stamped the All For Christmas image with Gina K Jet Black Amalgam ink on Strathmore Marker paper.
  • It was colored with my Copics, then adhered at an angle to a green card base.
  • AND tied it with a toilet paper bow !!!   LOL
I was SO excited when I saw the All For Christmas stamp that I accidentally ordered it twice.. So, I decided to have a giveaway .Just comment on this blog post and tell me what YOU want for Christmas and you just might win this stamp .. I'll choose one person at random on October 3 from those that comment .

I hope that you will take a look at what the other Crafty Elves have been working on .. They always have the most fabulous cards made !!

September Cookies / Take 2

The inspiration photo for the latest If You Give a Crafter a Cookie Challenge made me want to make a nice cup of tea and nibble on those gorgeous gem cookies !! And the jewel tones are absolutely beautiful !! We hope that you will also be inspired and join in on this Challenge with us - you have through Wednesday, Sept. 30 to link up a project of your own.

It took me a few days to figure out what I wanted to do for this Challenge but then I saw the mason jar stamp and envisioned it full of brightly-colored gemstones..

  • I stamped the mason jar and string tie onto a piece of pink ledger paper that I had cut to fit on the front of a dotted Kraft card base. The stamp set is by Recollections from Michaels and I recently purchased it on clearance for $1.47.
  • The label was stamped on a cream piece of scrap paper. and then fussy-cut All were stamped with Gina K Amalgam Jet Black Ink .
  • I printed the Digi Gem images, which I had sized to fit in the jar, colored them with my Copics  and then fussy-cut them. They are from Scrapster by MHdesigns on Etsy .
  • The gems were adhered inside the jar with Tombow MONO Aqua Liquid Adhesive.
  • I paper-punched the hole for the tag then adhered it to the string tie.
  • I placed 2 strips of washi tape down the left side of the stamped piece.
  • The entire stamped image was popped up on the Kraft card base with foam tabs.

The same week I was working on this card, my guy bought our cat, Pixie a new collar. I did not see it until the card was complete and it was so perfect that I had to include a picture !! Coincidence  ?? I think not !!

I hope you will take a look at all of the team member's projects over at the Challenge Blog . As we enter a Fall season that is still dealing with COVID, I hope that you all are staying safe and happy and creative !!

Until next time ......

September Cookies / Take 1

It's Back To School for the latest If You Give a Crafter a Cookie Challenge .That is looking a bit different this year, depending on where you live .. Are your children going virtual, heading to a classroom OR something hybrid ?? Whatever it is, I know it must be challenging !! So let's have some fun and get inspired by our latest photo ...

I actually had a piece of scrap paper with pencils on it that started my idea for this card...   And this stamp set by A Jillian Vance Design Coffee and Books is one of my all-time favorites !!

  • Using my MISTI,  I stamped the sentiment and book image on a piece of Strathmore Marker Paper with Gina K Amalgam Jet Black Ink.
  • I cut the paper to fit on a Blue Blackboard base card and adhered the stamped image to the base.
  • The cup and books were colored with Copic Markers.
  • Clear Glitter Wink of Stella was added to the coffee cup for shimmer.
  • A piece of striped washi was placed at the bottom of the stamped paper.
  • The pencil border was adhered at the top of the Blue Blackboard card base .
  • Now it's time to hit the books !!!

Challenge #150 will be live through September 16  and we would love for you to link up a project of your own !!  Take a look at the rest of my teammate's projects over at the blog HERE . We hope that you are inspired !!
