Coffee & Cards with Deb & Celeste / October 2020

Celeste and I enjoyed getting creative this month with an Inspiration photo AND a sketch for our cards !! Halloween will probably look different this year as we still maneuver our way through COVID, but we had fun with these cards ..  I hope that you like them as much as we do ..

We haven't done very many sketch cards at all so it was time to choose one for our October projects.  And here it is  ---

I found this cool little stamp set by Inkadinkado in my stash and just had to use it for some cards !!  It is vintage - - from 2012 !! And I have had that cool floral paper that just seemed perfect for the card ..

  • On a piece of white cardstock, I stamped The Tattooed Woman image in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and the sentiment from the same set in Tangelo Memento ink.
  • I placed a piece of gold glitter washi across the white cardstock in between the image and the sentiment .
  • A piece of Floral Halloween paper was adhered to a dark gray card base.
  • The stamped panel was adhered to the Floral paper.

I am working all weekend so the coffee I am having with Celeste is in one of my fun work cups. I found this Cheers Dears cup with glitter confetti on clearance last year.   I'm drinking "hospital" coffee with Sugar Free Vanilla creamer & a splash of Caramel Macchiato creamer.  The straw makes it easier to drink my coffee at my desk without taking my mask completely off !! Make yourself a cup of coffee or tea and head on over to Crafting Junky  to see what Celeste has created

Thank you for once again joining us for Coffee & Cards !! We will see you again in November. Until then, stay safe and healthy. Wear your masks and social distance ( the nurse in me says ) ...

Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas / October 2020

The Crafty Elves only have a few more months until the holiday is here !! I can't believe that it is almost the end of October AND we are still in the midst of COVID. I hope that you all are staying safe and healthy ..

Spellbinders had an amazing clearance sale recently and I got some holidays dies for $2 and $3 !! I couldn't resist making several of my cards this month with those dies.  I'm also going to be giving away a bit of blog candy again this month so keep on reading and see how you can possibly be the winner.

  • I used the Spellbinders Hanging Stockings die to cut out the image on a piece of black cardstock.
  • A piece of scrap glittered holly paper was adhered to a green card base,
  • The die-cut image was adhered to a piece of bright red cardstock with Art Glitter Glue . The fine tip makes placing the glue in the intricate cuts much easier !!
  • The red panel was adhered to the holly paper.
  • An Idea-ology Small Talk - Occasions sentiment was adhered on the bottom right of the holly paper.

  • The Spellbinders For You  die was cut out using while glitter cardstock.  It's hard to see in the picture but it has a nice sparkle.
  • The cookie paper, music paper and sentiment are all from the Sugar Cookie Christmas collection from Prima Marketing Inc.. This is an absolutely beautiful collection !!
  • I adhered transparent pink and turquoise sequins to the sugar cookie background paper.
  • I love how changing the background paper with these dies can create a totally different look ..
  • I will be sending 1 of these For You dies to someone who comments on this blog post . I will choose 1 person randomly.

  • On a pink chalkboard card base, I adhered a piece of foiled birch paper .
  • I stamped the  image from Own Wing from Unity Stamp Company , colored it with my Copics and then fussy-cut it.World
  • The bird was popped up on the background paper using foam tabs.
  • A sentiment from Idea-ology Small Talk - Occasions was adhered in the lower right corner.

  • This might just be my favorite card this month, but I did love them all !! I used the Better Not Pout  stamp set from The Cat's Pajamas PaperArts .
  • I adhered a piece of  Christmas text paper to a navy card base.
  • The cat in stocking image was stamped on white cardstock, colored with my Copics and then fussy-cut.
  • The stocking was then popped up in the right corner with foam tabs.
  • Transparent sequins were placed around the stocking.

I know that the other Crafty Elves have been busy making their cards for October. Lisa and I get together on ZOOM sometimes on Sundays with her crafty group. And Michael and I have plans to get creative together sometime soon also.  Take a look at their creations on their blogs ---

October Cookies / Take 2

Our latest Challenge at If You Give a Crafter a Cookie  is perfect for this time of year and might be the most fun I have this Halloween, since COVID seems to be putting a damper on trick or treating !! And the colors would also be a fun combination for a project !!

I had such a good time making this card ..  I used supplies from a few of my favorite companies - Rubber Moon , Paper House Productions and Recollections at Michaels . It was a quick card to put together with minimal coloring.. I hope you like it as much as I do ..

Things That Go Bump In The Night

  • On a gray card base, I adhered a piece of  orange paper from the Paper House pad - Color Washed. This is a gorgeous paper pad and even though the pad is sold out, you can still find some gorgeous single sheets over at Paper House .
  • I stamped the String o' Jacks from Rubber Moon on watercolor paper with Gina K Jet Black Amalgam ink . This stamp was designed by Marylinn Kelly - take a look at all of her designs for Rubber Moon HERE .
  • The image was colored with my Copics .
  • I adhered a strip of pumpkin washi along the top of the pumpkin image.
  • I popped the pumpkin image up on the orange paper with foam tabs .
  • 2 strips of narrow Halloween washi from Recollections were placed above and below the popped up pumpkins.
  • A sentiment from Idea-ology Small Talk was adhered on the bottom right corner of the orange paper.
This Challenge will be the last one for 2020. We've had a fabulous year bringing you some amazing Inspiration photos and have had wonderful projects linked up by our followers.  But we will be taking a break to regroup and hope to be back next year .. 2021 can only be better -- am I right ?!?!?! We would still love for you to link up a project with us this time !!

Thank you for visiting Meticulosity ..
Stay Creative...
