Technique Junkies June Stamp Release

The June Stamp Release is here and the variety of stamps is fantastic !! There are 12 new stamps/stamp sets available and I had so much fun creating with them .. The entire June collection is available for a special price or you can save 15% off individual stamps through June 8 . My code - TJ10Deb - will save you 10% on all other items all month long .

For my first card with the June release, I combined the Fading Sea Scales and Sand, Seashells and Flip Flops stamps .The Sea Scales stamp is absolutely perfect for beachy backgrounds, a child's mermaid card or any nautical theme.

  • On a multicolored piece of paper, I stamped the Fading Sea Scales  with a Tuxedo Black Memento Dew Drop ink pad.
  • I also stamped the shell images - several times each - on the same multicolored paper and fussy-cut them .
  • The sentiment was stamped on a cream patterned paper, also with Tuxedo Black ink and cut out with a decorative rectangular die.
  • I colored in some of the scales with Glitter Gel Pens and also some areas on the shells .
  • I adhered the Sea Scales panel to a 5x7 Kraft card base .
  • The sentiment was popped up on the card with foam tabs, along with the shells in the bottom right corner .
  • I also adhered a starfish at the top of the sentiment.

The Sky Above stamp is a beautiful image and perfect for stamping in various colors of the sky and sand.. It's a great stamp for a quick, but beautiful card for a beach-loving friend !!

  • On a piece of woodgrain paper, I stamped the image with Memento Dew Drop inks .From top to bottom, I used Teal Zeal, Peanut Brittle and Paris Dusk.
  • I adhered a strip of nautical wood paper down the left side of the stamped panel.
  • Several coordinating Glitter Enamel Dots were adhered to the stamped panel.
  • The completed stamped panel was adhered to a turquoise card base.

These are just a few of the stamps in the June Release . I hope that you are inspired by my cards and take a look at them and all the others available at Technique Junkies . Use the links below to see what the other Design Team members have created with the new June stamps .

Coffee & Cards with Deb and Celeste / May 2023

Celeste and I decided on an "Anything Goes" theme for our posts this month. It is a dreary, rainy weekend here in Virginia Beach . Otherwise known as a perfect day to create !! A hot cup of coffee in a new cup makes it even better . We hope you like our cards for May ..

I recently bought a new coffee cup with a favorite artist on it - Frida Kahlo .. I remembered I had a stamp/die set with a Frida image and that was when this post was born !! La Fina Latina by Crafty Chica for Sizzix is a framelits with stamps set .

  • I placed a strip of washi from the Tim Holtz Travel Set down the left side of a bright yellow card base.
  • The La Fina Latina images were stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on white cardstock and then cut out with the matching dies. I stamped/cut 3 of the butterflies.
  • The images were colored with my COPICS.
  • I adhered a Tim Holtz Idea-ology Pocket Card next to the strip of washi . It was trimmed to fit the card base.
  • I popped up the La Fina Latina images on the Pocket Card with foam tabs .
  • A Glitter Clear Wink of Stella Brush Pen  was used around the Frida image.

I love how easily this card came together. The Pocket Card created a nice background for the Frida images and I did not have to search endlessly for the perfect piece of patterned paper . LOL  You can see what Celeste created for our Anything Goes theme over at her blog - Crafting Junky .

I was happy to use my new Frida cup while I created my card .. I found it at TJ Maxx ( actually bought it in 2 colors/designs ) . I'm drinking Pecan Praline coffee with Cinnamon Churro creamer . Fabulous combination ..

Thank you for sharing your time with me and Celeste again as we have coffee and make cards this month . We look forward to seeing you again in June. Until then, find some time for yourself with something creative and a nice hot cup of coffee or tea !!

  • I matted the sentiment with some green cardstock .

Technique Junkies May Stamp Release

It's time for the May Stamp release at Technique Junkies and I am absolutely thrilled to be a new member of their Design Team. Their wide variety of stamp designs - from snarky to floral, coffee to cats - made me a fan already. So to be working with their Design Team is really a dream come true. You can purchase the  entire May collection for a special price or take 15% off individual May stamps through May 8. No special code is needed. You can also use my code TJ10Deb for 10% off all other items.

I chose to use the  Betty White Sentiments stamp set for my first "official" post. My mom absolutely loved Betty White and was a bit of a fiery redhead, so I know she would have loved this set. I also thought of the famous Andy Warhol  art of Marilyn Monroe when making my cards. I hope that you like them.

  • I stamped the Betty image in a variety of ink colors and fussy-cut them.
  • The new I Don't Sweat image was stamped at the bottom of a Kraft card base.
  • The rainbow Bettys were placed on a piece of Pink patterned designer paper.
  • The completed stamped panel was adhered to the Kraft card base.
  • Several coordinating rhinestones were placed around the sentiment.

  • On turquoise, red and pink card bases, I adhered some perfect vintage cherry designer paper.
  • I placed coordinating Betty images near the top of the patterned paper.
  • A variety of sentiments from the Betty White stamp set were adhered at the bottom of each card.

I'd love to know what you think of my cards. Please leave a comment and then use the links below to Hop with the entire Technique Junkies team. There are 13 new May releases to inspire you !!

 Debra - you are here

Thanks so much for stopping by to see my first post with Technique Junkies . I will also be posting on their blog several times a month with their new releases and also some old favorites.

Coffee and Cards with Deb and Celeste / April 2023

April showers bring May flowers. At least that's what they say .. We had some 80 degree weather here and now we are in for a rainy weekend. Let's see what May 1st brings us . For our theme this month, we decided on one of my favorite supplies - WASHI ..I probably have enough rolls to circle the globe.. With extra to spare ..  Are you a washi lover too ?? I use washi often when making many of my cards ( that's how I justify the hundreds and hundreds of rolls that I have in my stash ) !!

I found this amazing washi from 49 and Market that seemed perfect for making a card base panel. The large, beautiful designs deserved to be a focal point of the card and my idea used it as a background without covering up too much. Vintage Artistry Serenity Washi Tape Set includes  3 different designs of various widths.

  • I covered a piece of white cardstock with strips of the Vintage Artistry Serenity washi.
  • The girl and frame images from Bloom with Grace by Close To My Heart  were stamped on white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink .
  • I stamped the sentiment in the frame from the same stamp set with Nautical Blue Memento ink .
  • The images were colored with my COPIC markers.
  • I fussy-cut the images and adhered them to my card base with foam tabs for added dimension.
  • I adhered the completed panel to a pale turquoise card base.

I was pleased that the design of the washi tapes all used together had the appearance of patterned paper. The washi is really absolutely gorgeous and no picture can truly do it justice !! I also have a Christmas design set that I am sure you will be seeing in one of my posts soon.  I think Celeste loves washi tape as much as I do and I 'm excited to see what she created this month . You can see her card over at her blog - Crafting Junky

The coffee I am drinking today is Pecan Praline. I'm using a  mug that was sent to me in the mail by my friend Amy. I had posted online that I could not find it here at our local TJ Maxx. She found it and sent me it all the way from Wisconsin !! Along with a few other goodies .. She is the best !!

SAVE THE EARTH

Thank you for stopping by to see our April cards.  We will be back in May with more coffee and cards. I hope to see you then.

Until next time, Stay Creative
