Coffee & Cards with Deb & Celeste / December 2025

The last month of 2025 is here !! Celeste and I are back with our cards for December and appropriately enough, our theme is Christmas. Are you ready for the holidays or are you a bit of a procrastinator??  I recently retired and look forward to every holiday off - no shifts to work at the hospital for the first time in 40 years !! My holiday shopping is done, the cards are being sent soon and I can relax and enjoy .. Well, once we get the tree up . That will happen tomorrow .

I have been destashing all year and recently found a stash of Christmas Sparkle by Frank Garcia for Prima. I have a fabulous paper pad and ephemera and made 2 sweet cards with those supplies. It's not often that I do a card without any stamping (I call them "cheater" cards), but these came together so quickly, and I think they're just perfect !!

• I adhered patterned paper from the Christmas Sparkle" collection to pink card bases.
• Martha Stewart felt borders were placed at the top of each card . I have had these for many years !!
• Ephemera from the Christmas Sparkle collection was adhered to each card base on the patterned paper. Some elements were popped up with foam tabs.
• I placed rhinestones on the peppermints, bell, coat and star .

I think these are such pretty cards and know exactly who I will be sending them to !! I know that I will be making many more with the paper and ephemera I still have from this collection . I'm excited to see what Celeste has come up with for her last post of ours for 2025 . As always, I'm sure it will be gorgeous .. I got out a fun mug for my coffee this month - ELF is one of my favorite movies and it's actually on the tv as I write this post !! So I guess that makes me a Cotton-Headed Ninny Muggins !! Another favorite quote from the movie was something I said at work many times when it was inappropriate to curse - Son of a Nutcracker !! I hope you have a lovely holiday, however you celebrate. Grab some coffee or tea or cocoa and watch a holiday movie . Celeste and I will be back in 2026 for another year of Coffee & Cards . We hope you continue to follow us .

Oops, I almost forgot !! My coffee this month is Pecan Praline and I used some Little Debbie's Christmas Tree Coffee Creamer . It is a delicious combination. You should try it .

October Cookies- Take 2

It's time for Challenge # 128 at If You Give a Crafter a Cookie and this time we are in a Halloween  frame of mind.. You have the next 2 weeks to link up a card based on our Inspiration Photo - challenge yourself with the images, the colors or the theme !!

I wanted to use some of my favorite stamps from Rubber Moon and had fun putting this card together. I liked using some non-traditional colors and was pretty pleased with how this turned out.. I'll admit that my first idea with a digi stamp from another company did not work out, so I tore it up  and started over. And this is what I came up with on my second try !!

• I adhered a piece of yellow/gold patterned paper to a black card base.
• The graveyard  border is from  a Martha Stewart  punch and I placed it across the bottom of the card . I used a bright blue metallic paper. 
• The String o' Jacks image from Rubber Moon  was stamped onto watercolor paper using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.  It was then colored with a variety of my favorite markers.
• I left room above the pumpkins to adhere a strip of Midnight washi tape also from Rubber Moon. This panel was then adhered at the top of the card.
• The Millie & Pamela image  ( pumpkin woman with black cat ) was then stamped, cut and also colored. I adhered it below the pumpkin panel.
• Several coordinating sequins were placed the card base for some added shimmer.

Valentine's Day @ Anthony's Paper Craft

Hello to everyone - I'm so happy you've stopped by for my first post of 2019 !! What better way is there to start off the New Year than with a fun heart-filled project. Today I'm using the January Stamp of the Month from Anthony's Paper Craft - Valentine's Day 2 . If you purchase this stamp through the month of January, you will get free shipping/ USA only. So why not treat yourself to a few great stamps and take advantage of that perk. 

I love paper-piecing and this stamp was perfect to use with a cute new paper pad !! I actually made 2 cards , each with a slightly different look at the top. I send quite a few Valentines and this stamp allowed me to use many of my fun patterned papers.

• Using 4 coordinating patterned papers from the Pebbles "Be Mine" pad , I stamped the Valentine's Day 2 image with  a Versafine Clair "Nocturne" ink pad .
• I cut the heart and  sprinkle papers to fit on my card bases - 1 bright red and 1 cranberry, They were adhered with Tombow MONO Adhesive+.
• The heart images were cut out of the doughnut and strawberry papers and adhered to my 2 card base images - 1 of each pattern on each base.
• Several red and gold glitter hearts were paper-punched and adhered to the center of the patterned hearts.
• On the top card, I made a border with pale pink cardstock from a Martha Stewart border punch. I placed a piece of heart washi from The Paper Studio across the top area of the border .
• On the bottom card, I used another Martha Stewart border punch to make a pale pink eyelet border and ran a strand of twine through it, then finished it off with a bow. 
• I am NOT an expert at tying bows, so I  was completely thrilled with how this one turned out. I placed a bit of glue over the knot so it would not unravel.
