Growing in Unity / Day 5

It's been such a great week for me, creating each day with my Unity stash !! Today's card is a heartfelt thank-you to the gang at Unity for hosting so many wonderful people throughout the year for their Growing in Unity Weeks !!  I loved playing with the Mostest Hostess stamp set and creating a cozy space with a furry friend.

Growing in Unity / Day 4

Pissy Kitty joined me today for my morning coffee. He wants to know why I have SO many coffee cups ! I told him I have different cups for each season, and it also depends on the kind of mood I'm in . According to him , you only NEED 1 cup and that cup has to be your favorite. So here he is with his pretty blue cup with a bird on it . It's the only one he ever uses and was perfect as the focal point for my card today .. All this image needed was some pretty coffee paper and a snarky sentiment, also from the Pissy Kitty stamp set .

Growing in Unity Week - Day 3

I'm back with my card for Day 3 and this one might just be my favorite for the week !! It has books, coffee and a furry best friend.  What more could a stamper want ?!?!?!  The Dog-Eared Days stamp set was chosen to represent my friend Michael . A fellow stamper, he lives in Brazil by way of New York City. He loves coffee and books as much as I do. And he has a houseful of rescue dogs that he absolutely loves & spoils on a daily basis !!  Michael, this one's for you !!  But I sincerely hope you do not dog-ear your book pages  .  We would seriously have to reconsider our friendship  .  LOL

Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas / March 2026

March is here and it's time for the Crafty Elves to bring you our holiday inspiration. We post each month on the 25th to get you in the holiday spirit and encourage you to start on your cards too . This month it will be me and Lisa - Michael is taking a break. 

As I was going through my craft supplies to do a major cleaning/destash, I found the Vicki Boutin Peppermint Kisses Collection . For my card today, I used the paper pad, Thickers and sticker book . No stamping this time, which is rare for me .

• I adhered a piece of patterned paper from the Peppermint Kisses Collection  to an A2 card base.
•  The bow banner and car stickers were placed on the pattered paper.
• I adhered the numbers to the upper left corner.
• The Sweet Memories Thickers was adhered to the card.
• I placed several Thickers snowflakes and then added Thickers dots to the center of each flake .

This Vicki Boutin collection is amazing!! I just might sit down soon and see how many cards I can make with it in an afternoon.  Might throw in some stamped images with it too . Coffee & Cards with Deb & Celeste / March 2026

Well, Celeste has gotten me out of my comfort zone again with another sketch challenge for this month's blog collab . I'm not sure why I have a hard time with these, but this time it was relatively easy for me . How do you feel about sketch designs ??? Here's what we used for our March cards .

I saw an old favorite Rubber Moon stamp - Journal Girl - and thought she would be perfect for my card.  I was so sad when Rubber Moon closed but luckily, I have a nice collection of their stamps. I used the Cool Girl paper pad by Pebbles, American Crafts for the patterned papers on my card .

• I stamped the Journal Girl with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock and die cut it with a  Big and Little Chain Rectangle Die .
• I used the next larger die in the set and cut a mat from a piece of plum cardstock.
• The image was colored with my COPICS.
• A red clay heart was placed in her hair - like the barrettes I used to wear as a child .
• 3 mint green sequins were placed down the left side of the stamped image .
• I placed coordinating papers on a mint green card base to follow the sketch design.
• The stamped image was adhered to the plum mat and then to the floral-patterned paper.
• A chipboard flower from the Good Life Thickers collection from American Crafts was adhered to the bottom right corner of the stamped/matted panel .
• A Tim Holtz Small Talk sentiment completed my card .

Celeste is a pro at these sketch challenges, and I can't wait to see what she has made. Please take a look at her card over at Crafting Junky . Today my drink of choice is an Iced Matcha Latte . I'm using a fun cup I bought awhile ago and have had sitting on my desk. It's never been used so I figured now was the perfect time.  It even has a cool tea bag holder in the bottom that I will use next time for some hot tea. I just love the cat/sushi pattern on the cup !!

Thank you again for taking time out of your busy day to see what Celeste and I are up to this month . I'm feeling a little bit better about sketch challenges now and have Celeste to thank for that !! Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas / February 2026

The Crafty Elves are here with their February inspiration. Michael will be taking a break this month but will be back in March . Our weather here is finally starting to warm up a bit ( and by that, I mean above freezing . ) It's sad when 50 degrees is a warm temperature !! But I am certainly not complaining . 

For my card this month, I inked up the Catherine Pooler Designs  Anna in the City images . I also used the matching dies.  I was excited to find both of these on sale online .

• I inked up the Anna image and small purse with Memento Tuxedo Black ink .
• The images were die-cut with the matching dies .
• I colored the images with my COPICS .
• I adhered a scrap piece of red patterned paper to the top portion of a dark green card base.
• The Anna image was adhered to the left side of the patterned paper.
• I popped up the purse with foam tabs on her left hand .
• A Hello December planner sticker was placed to finish the card .

This was a fun card to make and was quick to color. I can see myself making more with these images with a Fall palette . Take a few minutes to check out what Lisa has created for the month. Coffee & Cards with Deb & Celeste / February 2026

We're back to bring you the February edition of Coffee & Cards with Deb & Celeste . And it's only appropriate that this month our theme is Valentines / Hearts . We hope you like how we were inspired ..

I decided to make a card for my guy, Brian. I make many cards but somehow never seem to get around to giving him one that is handmade. So I pulled out the Ink Road stamp set Snarky Couple to make my card . We have been together since 2001, so this sentiment seemed perfect !!

Let's Grow Old and Grumpy Together

• I adhere a piece of paper from the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Red Palette Collection to a red card base. This paper collection is absolutely beautiful !!
• The couple image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock .
• The image was colored with my COPICs .
• The sentiment was stamped using Catherine Pooler Peppermint Scrub ink .
• I diecut the stamped image to fit the front of my card with a Stitched Square Die.
• A piece of lace ribbon from Stampin' Up was adhered below the sentiment.
• A Valentine Word Snippet from KCS Designs by Kim was printed, cut out and adhered to the ribbon .
• I placed a small red button on the left side of the sentiment. 
• The completed stamped panel was adhered with foam tabs in the center of the patterned paper on the card base.
• Heart Wax Seal stickers were placed on each side of the stamped panel .

I really love the vintage feel of this card . It  reminds me of old-fashioned Valentine cards .  Be sure to go to Celeste's blog - Crafting Junky - to see how she brought our inspiration photo  to life .

For my coffee today, I chose a McCafe Loaded Chocolate Chip Cookie K-cup .  This tastes just like a delicious warm cookie right out of the oven. The cup I'm using was given to me by a friend who brought it back for me after a visit to Disney California Adventure Park . I recently found it in the midst of a big destash I've been doing .. 

I made one more card with the Snarky Couple set . This card also has a vintage vibe .

She Made It/He Made It - February 2026

Michael Trent and I are back this month with another edition of  She Made It / He Made It .  We choose a theme, or designer or craft supply, and each make something -  it's fun to see how different ( or sometimes similar ) our process is.  This month we decided to use Word Snippets - Valentine's Day from the KCS Designs by Kim shop on ETSY .  There are 100 words and phrases included in this fun set, along with some blank strips .These are all printable designs that can be downloaded and used over and over .We hope you like what we've come up with . KCS Designs by Kim is having a 40% off sale for Hump Day so be sure to check out all of the fabulous images they have to offer.

I also used the Layered Remnants Journal Pages from KCS Designs by Kim . There are 20 images of neutral, timeworn collage backgrounds - perfect for my card bases.  I created 3 cards with a vintage feel to send to some long distance friends. 

Tim Holtz Mini Blueprints 2 stamp set images were used on all 3 of my cards - February 14, LOVE and Queen of Hearts.  My go-to ink /Memento Tuxedo Black stamped the 14 and the Queen of Hearts. Catherine Pooler "Peppermint Scrub" stamped LOVE.  Scraps of ribbon and a button from my stash helped me create a vintage feel. Snippets from KCS Designs by Kim added a sweet sentiment to each card . I popped up the 14 on the first card and the Queen of Hearts on the third with foam tabs . A few cute hearts, a  fun vintage housewife , a glittery heart sticker and a bit of coloring completed my cards.

Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas / January 2026

Well, here we are .. The holidays have past us by and now we can get our crafty selves in gear for more holiday card inspiration throughout 2026 !! Lisa, Michael and I will post cards each month on the 25th and hope you will follow along with us and maybe even start early to create some of your own.  

For my January cards, I used a stamp set by Penny Black - Baubles & Boughs .I have had this set for awhile and just never inked it up , It's an easy stamp to  color and create with , There are 4 stamps - the branch and 3 ornaments .

• I stamped the bough then placed the ornaments and stamped them also, using my MISTI . I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink .
• The image was colored with my COPICS.
• I die-cut the 2 stamped panels with a Stitched Square die .
• Using card bases from a Recollections  boxed set, I placed the stamped panels using foam tabs .
• A Tim Holtz sentiment sticker was placed on each completed stamped panel .

It feels good to know I will once again have a stash of cards to send when December arrives. I also address envelopes ahead of time which makes the process of holiday mailing even easier !! I hope you will follow the links below to see what Lisa and Michael have created.

Coffee & Cards with Deb & Celeste / January 2026

We are at the start of a new year and Celeste and I will be back again with our Coffee & Cards collaboration each month . Our theme for January is MAIL . I love sending and receiving mail, so this was the perfect inspiration for me .

For my card, I used a sweet Colorado Craft Company set - Hedgehog Day . This has the cutest images. 

• I stamped the Hedgehog image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink  and the sentiment with Memento Lady Bug ink - both on white cardstock .
• The image was colored with my Copic markers.
• I used dies from Paper Rose - Lots and Lots of Rectangles - to die cut the main image and the sentiment .
• I adhered a piece of Scrapbook.com Valentine patterned paper to an A2 card base.
• The main stamped image was adhered at the top of the patterned paper.
• The sentiment was popped up below the main image with foam tabs.
• I placed a red clay heart on the envelope to complete my card .

I think this is such a sweet card and I made 2 more to send out for Valentines Day . I can't wait to see what Celeste created for our MAIL theme. You can check out her card over at her blog - Crafting Junky .

This month I am drinking a large hot cup of Mardi Gras King Cake coffee - it tastes like vanilla and cinnamon !! Very delicious . I retired October 1,2025 and my co-workers gave me this fun travel mug to celebrate my last shift. I use it a lot !! I do miss having coffee with my co-workers during my shifts at the hospital. But it's so nice to be able to enjoy my coffee at home in the kitchen while relaxing and watching the squirrels and birds in my yard . And not constantly listening for alarms, making phone calls and monitoring 24 patients !! It is definitely BLISS 💓
