Happy Holly-Days with Anthony's Paper Craft

This is our last  week of Christmas in August Blog Hop posts highlighting holiday stamps from  Anthony's Paper Craft,  Mike, Michael, Mary Kay and I have been showing you our projects and hoping to inspire you to create some of your own. During the month, Anthony is also offering free shipping with a $25 purchase in the US - use the code "freeship25" at checkout.

  • Using a musical patterned paper from the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Seasonal paper pad, I created a gift card holder from a Sizzix Thinlits Gift Card Bag Die . I absolutely LOVE this die and can tell I will be using it for many things. I like to enclose small goodies in the Snail Mail that I send and these will be perfect for that !!
  • On a black plaid card base by The Paper Studio, I placed a piece of holiday word washi and a piece of red glitter washi vertically down the left edge.
  • I stamped the Holly Sprig image from Anthony's Paper Craft onto a sheet of Neenah Stardust White cardstock and also on some scraps of green patterned paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. This is a new image and will be available shortly. Memento
  • I colored the bow and holly berries using a variety of my favorite markers - Sharpies, Kaiser Glitter markers and Akashiya SAI waterbush markers.
  • I fussy-cut the entire image from the Stardust White paper  and clusters of the holly leaves from the patterned paper. I then adhered the leaves to the white cardstock using Tombow MONO Aqua Liquid Glue.
  • I adhered the gift card bag to the card base using my Scotch ATG Gun.
  • The holly sprig was popped upon the gift card bag using Tombow Foam Tabs.

I love the vintage feel of this card and know I will be making many more !!  I'm sure my teammates from Anthony's Paper Craft have created some fabulous projects and I hope that you will check out their blogs to see them. We'd love for you to leave comments and also follow us.

Thank you again so much for visiting Meticulosity and also for letting us all show you some wonderful stamps from Anthony's Paper Craft. Don't forget to use your code for free shipping through August 31 as mentioned above. I had a giveaway on last week's post and the winner is Celeste Goff. She will receive a fun snowman stamp and I can't wait to see what she does with it !!

Coffee & Cards with Deb & Celeste 8/26

It's hard to believe that August is almost over. Right around the corner are pumpkin spice lattes, sweater weather and everything Autumn. But for this collaboration with Celeste, I chose something different, nothing Pumpkin !! Steampunk is our theme this time. And Murphy's Law was in effect.I had a paper pad chosen to use with great grungy, steampunk designs and misplaced it.. The stamp/die set I wanted to use was also missing in action !! If there was ever a sign that I need to destash, this was it !! Luckily, I figured out a back-up plan but it was touch and go there for awhile !!

Viva Las Vegas Stamps came to the rescue with their City on Snail stamp.  And a stamp I found at Hobby Lobby by American Art Stamp  "Gears of My Heart"  also found its way into my design. This card is all about my absolute LOVE of Snail Mail. I am in several postcard/card swap groups and send Snail Mail on a regular basis.

  • I stamped the snail image on a piece of Neenah Stardust White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink..
  • The Steampunk Heart was stamped with Ranger Perfect Medium on Neenah Stardust White cardstock, then embossed with American Crafts ZING Rouge embossing powder. I fussy-cut the image.
  • Also using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the Long Love Snail Mail by Savvy Stamps onto a scrap piece of ledger paper, cut it out, then distressed the edges.
  • Using Tombow Adhesives, I adhered the snail, heart and sentiment to a black/red patterned card base. This base was in a box of cards inspired by the Twilight books and has some great patterns in it !!
  • I left room under the City on Snail image to place a row of my favorite stamps.
  • A gear was placed on the heart to add some dimension. My guy, Brian actually bought me a small bag of those gears to use on my cards. Could this mean that he finally understands my love of cards ( AND snail mail ) ?!?!?!

Today's coffee is a wonderful Blonde Roast from Starbucks.  It's in the cutest cup sent to me by a Snail Mail friend who lives in Cali. I'm not a traveler but have many friends who understand and even share my love of coffee cups !! I've received Starbucks mugs from all over the world !!

Thank you for visiting me here at Meticulosity for another collaboration with Celeste. Check out her take on our Steampunk theme over at her blog Crafting Junky. Autumn will be arriving soon and I'm looking forward to some fun fall color schemes and inspiration. So come back in September for more coffee and cards with us !!

Shiny & Bright with Anthony's Paper Craft

Thank you for coming back for Week 3 of our Christmas in August Blog Hop with the Anthony's Paper Craft Design Team.  We are showcasing holiday stamps and hoping to inspire you along the way. This week, I am also having a giveaway this week  -  comment on this blog post for a chance to win an Anthony's Paper Craft holiday stamp and a few of my other favorite holiday goodies !!

  • For this card, the first thing I did was to get out my MISTI. I wanted to make sure the image was centered correctly on my Kraft card base and also that I had a perfectly inked image to emboss.
  • I prepared my card base by rubbing my Embossing Buddy on the card. This eliminates static cling before stamping and adheres the embossing powder only to your stamped image. Genius, right ?!?!?!
  • I used Ranger Perfect Medium to stamp the wreath/circle image onto my Kraft card base, This is a sneak peek of s soon-to-be released stamp from Anthony's Paper Craft
  • American Crafts ZING Green Glitter was then sprinkled onto the Perfect Medium and heat embossed.
  • Memento Tuxedo Black ink was used to stamp the stocking from the Stockings 1 stamp set and I then fussy-cut the image.
  • I then colored in the stocking with a collection of my favorite markers - Sharpies, Flair pens, Faber-Castell PITT Artist pens and Distress markers.
  •  Red rhinestones were placed around the outside of my embossed image. I think they look like holly berries.
  • The stocking was popped up in the center of the wreath using Foam tabs.
  • A piece of Tim Holtz Idea-ology Linen Ribbon was wrapped twice around the bottom of the card.
  • The sentiment was popped up with Foam Tabs. It is from the Christmas Magic Cardstock Multi-Pack by Paper House.

Please check out the projects from several of my teammates at Anthony's Paper Craft :

I am having a stamp giveaway. All you need to do is comment on this post. Let me know if you have started your holiday cards yet. Do you even still send them ?? August Cookies - Take 2

I must admit that when I saw the theme for this Challenge  - # 101 - I was initially at a loss !! I do not have any fish, fishing, fisherman stamps - digi or otherwise. So I was searching online and venting to a friend, who then reminded me of the fish stamps from Vera Lane Studio. I immediately chose the quirky set that I used for this challenge. You can also find some fun fishing digis at our sponsor's site   - Bugaboo Digi Stamps. They will be providing some of their stamps to one lucky winner who will be chosen from the people who link up a project You have through September 5 to show us how you were inspired by these fun cookies !!

When I chose the digi set from Vera Lane Studio, I knew that I wanted to create a scene with it. I was lucky to find the perfect papers to do just that. This is a fun, quirky card and I really did enjoy creating this one !! I hope you like it !!

  • On a Kraft card base, I adhered a piece of Glossy Wave paper from American Crafts.
  • A piece of Pebbles paper from The Paper Studio was adhered to the bottom third of the card base. Tombow Adhesives were used on all elements - MONO Adhesive+ runner, MONO Aqua Liquid Glue and also Foam Tabs.
  • The sentiment, girl and fish are from the Sakana Set by Vera Lane Studio. I printed them on Neenah Stardust White cardstock  and colored the girl and the fish with Akashiya SAI Watercolor Brush pens
  • I inked the word FISH on the sentiment and the girl's eyes with Archival Viridian ink. The fish eyes were inked with Adirondack Stream ink.
  • The houses are from a Vera Lane collage sheet - Little Houses. They were already colored so I just had to cut them out and adhere them to the card.  Who wouldn't love to stay in a little house like this by the sea !?!?
  • The sentiment was adhered to the top of the card.
  • The fish was popped up on the girl's head with Foam tabs.

It's the second week for our Blog Hop with Anthony's Paper Craft . We hope you were inspired by our projects last week and that you like what we have for you this time around. Michael, Mike, Mary Kay and I are thrilled to be showing you more of the fabulous holiday stamps that Anthony's Paper Craft has to offer.

I will admit to being a bit of a planner Gal - not crazy obsessed with planning but do love to get creative with my weekly and monthly layouts.  The stamps I used from Anthony's Paper Craft  are perfect for any kind of planner. I stamped directly onto my planner pages and had fun with this layout. The 2018 Daphne's Dairy Planner is beautiful on its own, but I still love adding my personal touch, especially for the holidays !!

Christmas in August Hop with Anthony's Paper Craft

I'm so excited to be a part of this first ever Blog Hop with members of the Anthony's Paper Craft Design Team. We decided to do a "Christmas in August" Hop and I'm thrilled to be hopping along with these fantastically creative teammates - Michael Trent, Mike Fernholz and Mary Kay Werry. Our Christmas inspiration will be posted every Friday in August, starting today. We will introduce you to some amazing stamps, inspire you to create some projects of your own and maybe even have a prize or two !!

The stamps I used for this card are the Fireplace Mantel Set and Christmas Set 2 . These stamps are intricately detailed and provide a beautiful image. I love combining patterned papers and  this card was no exception.

  • I stamped the Christmas Mantel and the Holly Basket on Strathmore Watercolor Paper with Versafine Onyx Black ink. Using my MISTI, I was able to position the Holly Basket perfectly and get a crisp image !!
  • I stamped the Dec. 25 onto a scrap piece of wood-grain paper and punched it out with a 1 3/8" square paper punch.
  • The stamped scene was colored with a selection of my favorite Brea Reese markers and Akashiya Sai Watercolor Brush Pens.
  • 6 1" circles were paper-punched from a "Pinecone Lodge" Recollections Paper pad. This would also be a great way to use up some of those scraps that you have stashed away !!
  • I overlapped the circles across the bottom of the mantel and attached them with a piece of coordinating red washi tape. .
  • Using American Crafts Foam Tabs, I attached the sentiment to the stamped scene.
  • Several red candy dots were placed on the stamped scene and on the sentiment for a bit of shine.
  • I adhered the stamped scene to a slightly larger piece of green glitter paper using my Scotch ATG gun.  I then adhered that to a bright red striped card base ( my guy Brian said it looked like a candy cane - PERFECT !! )

I hope that my card inspired you . For more Christmas in August projects, please check out my teammate's blo. I'm sure they will be fabulous !!

August Cookies- Take 1

Our first August Challenge at If You Give a Crafter a Cookie is all about shells and beachy colors. I knew exactly what I wanted to use for my card this time and it came together quite nicely. If you have some stamps/supplies that would work well with this challenge, please link a project up before August 23. Our sponsor this time is Pattie's Creations and you could be the lucky person to win some  of their fun digital images.

I used Tim Holtz "Nautical" Mini-Blueprint stamps and a Recollections Mermaid die for this card.  I have had these supplies in my stash - unused - for quite some time so this was the perfect theme for them !!

.
  • On my favorite Neenah Stardust White cardstock, I stamped the 4 images from the "Nautical" set,  using Ranger Adirondack inks in Viridian, Espresso, Mountain Rose and Stream.
  • Each image was made into a square with a 1 3/8 inch paper punch. I mage the 4 images into 1 large square and taped them to each other on the backs, for ease of placement on my card.
  • I cut a piece of white glitter cardstock slightly larger than the nautical square and adhered these to a pale gray-blue dotted card base with Tombow MONO Adhesive+ .
  • The mermaid was die-cut and embossed  on a piece of turquoise cardstock using my old faithful Cuttlebug machine.
  • I used a paper punch to create the silver glittered crab.
  • The mermaid and crab were popped up on the card with Tombow Foam Tabs .

This was a fun challenge and I absolutely love that little mermaid. I die-cut/embossed several and will probably have them on a few cards in the near future !! Be sure to visit the main challenge page  HERE to see all of my teammate's creations. We'd love for you to leave comments and follow each of our pages. Challenges run for 2 weeks and I hope you will get beachy/nautical and share something with us !!

Thank you so much for visiting Meticulosity for this first challenge of August !!
